I text my brother as well....last season on opening day of Shotgun season I shot a nice 8 pt minutes after legal shooting light began..and he sent me a txt "Just like that..." It was pretty funny... Most times I will bring a radio with earphones and only turn it on around 8am(to listen to some hockey insiders) and thens shut it down....and in the afternoon...I will listen until there is about an hr of light left, then I shut it down...and I ONLY listen with 1 ear...very low volume... Also, I always have mini chocolate bars or granola bars and a bottle of water as well...and after Halloween...sometimes some candy

Was just about to post a topic about this. First time I havent gotten one in the past 5-6 years. My brother didnt get one either in area 65. It kind of sucks cause I have a nice doe coming by one of my stands daily. From what Ive heard they have really dropped the percentage of antlerless tags given out. I guess the Ministry did what they wanted a few years back when they gave out multiple tags. They must have wanted to get the deer #'s back to a manageable number so they could go back to a lottery system.

Id have to decline on sending either one of them south. It would be a long walk, im from Ontario, Canada. They are the 2 biggest bucks Ive captured on the camera and definately #1 and 2 on the hit list for this year. Thanks for the replies

Yeah, same ballpark I was in...I was thinking low 140's probably...and the 8pt is probably in the 115 range...Id be happy as heck if either one of them stepped out..

Ive yet to see a deer while hunting that didnt have my heart about ready to pop out of my chest...So antler size isnt a big deal for me...Although if I had to chose between shooting a nice sized doe or a spike or tiny buck, Id rather shoot the doe to give the little guy a chance... If a big buck happens to show up on a trail cam or something like that its always fun to guess and speculate if the deer is mature or not and what he could possibly score...Thats the whole point of buying those cam's and having them out all the time...In hopes of catching those bucks that keep u in the stand when u really want to head back to camp...

I am pretty sure this buck is 4.5, because Ive got sheds off him from 2 years in a row....any guesses on score? Then there is this 8pt who looks like he's got a pretty mature body, any guesses on age and score with this guy??

Im at 8...5 bucks/2 does/1 fawn Also add 4 bucks not recovered from my early days and a bow miss Have done that in 12 years of hunting...Im 26 now...Not a ton of success by any means but with the area we hunt I'd say its respectable in comparison to the others in our hunting party 3 taken with a muzzleloader including a 120-130" 10 pt 5 taken with a slug gun, best would be a 100" mature 8 pt
