  1. Does your State have Hunter Orange requirements? If so what are they? Rifle,Muzzy,Archery? And can you tell me which states do? Thanks
  2. You can do it!!! I quit about 5 years ago. Everytime I got the urge to smoke I chewed some gum and went for a walk!!! It's the best thing I have every done!!! Good Luck
  3. I would have to agree!!! Get either a 7mm mag or a 300 mag. Short mag, long mag it really doesn't matter. You should be able to purchase 7mm rem mag or 300 win mag ammo anywhere!!! I personally have a 264 win mag and a 7mm rem mag. I have harvested 10 Elk with the 264 win mag(all one shot kills) before I switched to Archery hunting.
  4. I have always wondered how well they shot? Also how good of a trigger do they have?
  5. I have a Glock Model 27 in 40sw. It's bullet proof!!! Luv it
  6. I use Lowa. I have the Sheep Hunters(insulated and Gortec) for Nov.Dec. in a foot of snow. And the Tibets(uninsulated) for Sept. Elk and Mule Deer. They are at the High end thou. $360.00 a pr. You can purchase them at Shnees in Boseman, MT. They are made in Germany and you will be hard pressed to find a better boot. PERIOD!!!
  7. I always have!!! Safety First!!!
  8. You don't save a lot of money by building your own arrows. But you get to choose your shafts, vanes, knocks and wraps. You also get a lot of personal satisfaction. And you can repair broken knocks and vanes. With a little time and effort you can make perfectly matched arrows. Unlike the mass produced ones you buy. Check the distance from the end of the vane to the begining of the knock on your current arrows and you will see what I mean. They will NOT be the same.
  9. There are forums in each state out West!!!
  10. Hello everyone!!! I am new to the Forum but not new to Hunting. I have 35 years of experience. I am an avid Bow Hunter mainly. I hunt in Washington and Oregon for Big Game.
