Getting fired up about hunting NE Mizzou. Hunting close to the Mississippi river near the Iowa border. Does anyone have any advise for a late season hunt? Never done the late mloader hunt before in another state. How good of deer should I expect? Thanks

My father in law is friends with a family in NC Ok that own a very lg ranch. They have extended an invitation to us to rifle hunt whitetails. Anyone have info on the area N of Woodward?? I am assuming that it is just like Ks hunting so should we hold out for the same caliber of bucks? If I read correctly, we can buy a license over the counter or online. I appreciate your .02. Thanks

Wondered how everyone did in Ks this year. Seemed to be slow the week we were there(full moon?). The hunt was great we just didn't shoot anything

I was wondering what everyones opinion is of a blind like Ameristand or a double bull.Has anyone used them in windy areas? Are they somewhat water proof.Will a small heater keep the chill off? Are they quiet? I am hunting the rifle season again in KS and decided that I need something to at least keep the wind off so I can sit all day. I do not have a prefernce on brands I just want something durable,Thanks

I was wondering what products you guys use that are actually proven to work ie,Scent blockers,doe urine (if so which ones)decoys and grunt calls.There are enough of these things to make my eyes get glassed over and soon I do not trust any of them or want to even try them,Thanks

Can I get an any species tag if I am a non-resident?The others in my group are leaning towards the Garden City hunt so I want to be prepared,what do you mean about different style of hunting?Spot and stalk?Which area would we see more numbers?What are the weather differences if any?Thanks for the repies

Hi,I have 2 opportunities to hunt in Kansas for fall '09.One spot is central Ks,east of McPherson and the other is north of Garden City.Both of these are on friends farms so I would like some advise on the areas if possible both good and bad.I understand that the hunts will be different because one is more open ground with some CRP and the other has more trees with some small fields near water.
