hey what are you guys getting for fox/coyote pelts these days?

Are there any good areas of public hunting for fox/coyotes near Fargo? Heard Lisbon was good and I don't think thats too far. Think I would have trouble getting permission from a land owner? Any answers appreciated. Thanx

nope, nothin new. i work seasonally so i started work a couple weeks ago and havent had much time to go out. i was gonna go tonight but its super windy and the wind is blowing in the exact wrong direction for where i hunt. if i went out tonight they'd smell me before i even got set up. frusrating to me. i finally get off at a descent time and the stinkin wind is wrong. seems to me like its been windy here for about the last 3 weeks straight. either wind or rain. suck

well i kinda thought i could use their weakened sense of smell and hearing. i think i might get a chance to get out this week, depending on work, if i get off early enough. i think im gonna go the decoy route

went out again tonight in the rain. didnt see or hear anything this time

no i dont have an ariel pic but maybe i could dig one up. ya maybe i will go with the challenge howl route. that just might work because i know for a fact that the one i heard last night that was close to me was a male. he had a really deep howl. im gonna see if i can find an ariel pic, the thing is that i suck at computer so even if i found one i dont know if i would know how to put it up

ya i have tried different calls, different sets, different howls and sounds. i was thinking about maybe getting a coyote decoy. is it too late in the mating season now to set up a decoy and hope i can get a male in with some female howls?

ya ill have to try the nighttime hunting i guess. well last night i had a big male just over the hill from me, howling, and another set of em howling right after that. i am getting really sick of this. i need to get them out somehow

so you rely strictly on hearing them coming at night? if you turn your light on to look does it spook em? can u see out of your scope then with that light?

so im assuming the one you got was 100 bucks hugh? does that make your gun weigh like a million pounds or what? can you use your scope with it? i guess i dont get it man. i dont understand how it works

well i know we can hunt at night here, but it has to be with a "handheld flashlight", so i dont know exactly what that means, but what is the method for hunting at night? how in the heck do u spot em and shoot em? do you have to have two guys to do it?

ya i know it will seem worth it. it just seems like i keep buying more and more stuff and nothing works. i know they're out there though now. i went out this afternoon and didnt see anything. saw deer, turkeys, and pheasants but no dogs. i swear these things dont come out until right as its getting dark. they never come out until i can barely see through my scope

oh man, looks like more money to spend on something that i cant seem to shoot.
