Nice shooting!!! Next to the Leo DD mount, I think the Waren rings are the next best thing.

I have a guy about 45min north of me. The guys price is inline with another local guy. He specalizes in hand built single shot high high, did I say high end custom for guys that hunt dangerous game and guy that just want a one off hand built rifle. I called a few TC custom builders and its a 16-24 week wait, this guy said 2-3 weeks and he will throw it on the lathe when hes cutting threads for another gun. I was also going to Creakote the brl, so that cuts his time down for rebluing. I am also kicking around Creakoting the frame at the same time. The biggest thing thats holding me back is the 3-4hr rebuild time for the guts. The JP Howie has a nice look to it, just do I want a 2" golf ball on the end of my gun?

Thats very close to what I want to build. I have some 4350, Rl-22 & wlrm primers that I was going to use... at least I have that much going for me. Did you relocate the front swivel? I was going between a JP, OPS, Vais or Miculek. I like the bad look of the JP's. The gunsmiths I talked to about doing the work said they have had good results with the Miculek for 1/2 the price. They also said the JP will do the job and then some. What break do you have? Has anyone used any of those breaks?

Whats your twist rate, powder, primer, scope, brl length, FPS? Sorry for all the questions, I have a guy hanging on the hook for a 308 barrel, but I have the 300wm sitting on the safe will all the goodies ready to go. The 300wm is TC standard 26" heavy blue. Shoots good, but I miss having pistol brl and I have wanted to make a heavy bottle neck brl for it... just want some info on it before i send it to the gunsmith.

Does anyone shoot a 15" 300wm Encore pistol? I am looking at getting one made for the encore... any input would be great.
