When is a good time to start scouting for deer hunting, do you think this is too early. This trail cam pic was taken in August www.huntbunk.com I am thinking the deer has been in velvet for some time.

ODC I need to check out the price here, I thought it would be more than a couple of bucks per month.

Blind I built one one it was 6'x4' six foot long and four feet wide. In Ohio we bow hunt a lot more than gun. This size (the four feet wide) is too small to draw back a bow and not hit the walls, I would stick with the 5'x5' or go bigger if you want two people to fit.

Bow I would forget about it, you should think as it was a gift to him and if he is a good guy he will pay you back some day if not dont loose any sleep.
