Man im just dying to get out and hear the first gobbles of the season and begin scouting. It always hits me about January and the next couple months im in for a tough wait. I just got my turkey application in and that just makes it seem even closer. My season will be April 28- May 3rd. Anyone else getting that itch to chase some gobblers already?

I was able to bag two bucks this year, nothing huge, and a coyote. This year was very exciting. I did see a ton of nice deer but never got a chance.

I was predator hunting in -27 last night and man that was pretty chilly. I shot a deer last week in -5, -10 with wind chill.

Wow thats sounds very interesting. I have heard of a couple wierd deer like that.

Here in MN there is 2-3 feet of snow everywhere with a hard ice layer on top. Im concerned about the turkeys making it. They are tough, but man its harsh. I have been putting corn out trying to help. Anyone else have this problem anywhere else?

I was kinda thinking the other day about bearded hens. My buddy came down to the last day and he shot a bearded hen. I wonder what a tom thinks when he sees a hen with a beard. Does he wanna breed that hen or does it not effect anything? My opinion is that it will not effect how he sees it but its possible it could make him change his mind. Any opinions?
