  1. Lol, I thought it was pretty wild looking bird with a lot of mystique to it. The wife and I were on the fence when it came to naming our 1'st baby boy together. She picked Gavin but I wasn't crazy about it, that is untill I researched the meaning of the name and it came up "white hawk". Killed two birds with one stone, she got the name she wanted and I get a cool little nickname for him when he gets here! We head back to the hospital at 6:00pm for her to be induced! 'lil "Hawk" should be born by the mornin'!:D:D
  2. Uh oh, better get back there and catch him again.See that jawline??
  3. Beautiful bird under such crappy conditions! congrats Never hunted 'nure piles, but fresh spread gets 'em buggin out just the same! WTG:)
  4. Great job, he's a slammer for a first, specially with the bow:)

  9. I'll 3'rd that. I'd go for the natural look.
  10. Wow, great shots. You can almost see what those birds are thinking!
  11. This sure is becoming an easy place to be envious! She's a beaut!
  12. Very nice. I think it's safe to say you can call that one of the most beautiful birds anywhere here in the NE. I've raised and released hundreds of them over the years here in my part of NY. Sad to say that their populations never flourished as I'd hoped. Always rewarding though when I do see one of them ditch chickens walking the shoulder of the road or hear stories of someone else who has here localy!
  13. Whew, your camera lens must have been smoking after all that! Thanks for taking us along.

    Baby Gator!!!!!

Sweet! It ain't the end of the world... that's a fantastic beginning! Glad you finally;) came around!
  15. Very cool. Asked myself what all the hub bub was about at first.... then I got it!
  16. How so? Do explain. As a meat hunter myself, wouldn't mind wrapping my hands around a set of horns like that at seasons end. Book bucks are a rare encounter for alot of folks. The sucker would be made famous on the internet hunt sites I visit but that would be about it. Even though I'll shoot a young'n from time to time, the allure and adventure of a rack like that are the dreams we all go into season with. The way I'd present myself after the kill may be dull compared to some.
  17. That's why your momma calls you "she" lol! You'll make someone a good wife someday barking out orders like that lol!
  18. I aint got a fingernail left and I got 2 other lil ones. Mommas 1'st and her calmess is almost scary. I better get to work here.
  19. No doubt that has got to take balls of steel to go prodding for what you can't see.
  20. sounds like it will be a unique mount for sure. Cant wait to see it either! Wont be long now.
  21. Here's a ink I use. They update it weekly. Check out the inland streams section. or you can call the # at the bottom of the page for a pre recorded weekly update. Good luck. http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/9217.html
  22. Gotta clean out the truck, shampoo the carpets, finish up some painting, BB-q at the parents, install an air conditioner, tidy up a bit around the house............. oh yeah, and be at the hospital Tuesday by 9:30 am so the doctors can induce labor on momma! Should probably come up with a name for the little fella pretty soon too huh:rolleyes:
  23. Had an account for about two weeks before people I didn't want to be found by began to find me. Didn't set well with the wife so I dumped it. That was my space though, can't say I miss it.
