I was able to shoot a nice buck, however I did not see much else. All the hunters I spoke with here in Kansas were disapointed with the opening week. Is any body in Kansas seeing deer?

I will second the crossbreed. For the weight of the Glock platform the security of a crossbreed supertuck is awsome. It is an easy to wear and comfortable holster that I will swear by day in and day out. I carry and XD .45 compact every day in one and think it is a great product. It may be more holster than you want however it is worth a look. What every you end up with make sure you have the confidence to deploy it every day as a gun in the safe is no advantage when you out on the town in a SHTF situation.

I have and carry both the XD 9 sub-compact as well as the XD 45 compact. I will give each gun a high recomendation. I perfer the 45 compact as it is roughly the same size as the Glock 19, and 23 platform that is widely excepted as a great self defense platform. You cant beat the capactity of the sub 9 at 13 + 1 in the pipe. The 40 SC only offers 9+ 1 and some see that as a great disadvantage. Take that into your own personal consideration about capacity. I think you will be happy with any XD platform as long as you define your use and carry requirements. The 9mm round has improved a great deal in the last few years in my opinion. Having said that I am still a huge fan of the .45 ACP. Find the right firearm for your needs and carry it every day and you cant go wrong.

I have run about 500 rounds through mine and it functions perfect every time. I carried it all of wheat harvest and got it very dirty however it ran all seven rounds like always. It is a good carry option to have. I daily carry a XD .45 compact however there are times that the LCP it the real deal. I trust my life to it as it has never let me down during training.
