No Sir, I dont have a problem any longer, Build my own now ! they last longer, and at a fraction of the cost .. It is broadheads thats tearing them up sooner on some ! & Field tips on some Which Morrel target have you shot 3 years ? Are you not burrying the vanes yet ? It almost has to be shot out after 3 years if your sticking the same area. I have never had a morrel last me more then 400 plus shots before the vanes get or worse the nok gets burried. Have you had to refill or replace the guts of your target. Im not knocking Morrel or any other target for that matter also there some I wouldnt spit on ... But in my personal view I have never had one for me to last .

Limit of 5 Randyman Good deal on your squirrels ! we have fox squirrels here in FL , but are no longer allowed to take any. Just arnt that many as when I was a kid. I use to see them all the time while I was growing up and in certain areas especialy in and around Black Jack Oaks I see some.but still not like I did when I was a kid. They have some purdy coats on some of them... I picked up a fresh killed road kill Fox Squirrel a few years ago and mounted him on a large piece of oak tree bark man he was a very unique color ,almost all white with four black feet and head. Wish I could find another to mount and put with him on the same piece of oak bark. Hunt or Be Hunted... Good luck to you Bro ...

ALWAYS for me my Rem. Nylon 66 semi auto 22 I bought it new in the early 70's. I think for about $70.00 when my eye's were good I used just the steel sights but I do now have a simmons 3-9 on her. Since I got the gun , in the thirty something years I couldnt count the squirrels its brought down or the number of fried squirrel and gravy dinners its provided me . Why change what aint broke !

I needed one too, but read this artical in the Link http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=892196 I am now convinced to make my own, they are easy to build "Cheap" and from talking to some other Buddys who have made them and still use the same target other than Re-stuffing it every couple of years. This is the way to go. Store bought ones are Nice, "But Price, and and the length of actual time shot, Does not out weigh the Home made targets... On the store bought targets, after say two hundred shots or more, your going to end up tossing in the garbadge dump. Read all the threads in this artical... From now on Im making mine. One of my friends has now shot his next month will be 8 years... Good Luck and God bless ! Beagleman78 PS. Im making mine 36X36X10" thick. and for the framing im useing 1X10 for the weight ( Lighter) Stuffing is old carpet remnents, I have another buddy who installs carpet and saves all the left over's Just for making Targets...

Gary, I'll see what I ca do I have a fella I grew up with out there im a FL Outdoors guy. -
Luke I coon hunted 37 years before I could no longer do it anymore ( Amputeed Leg) and SCI spinal cord injury. I hunted Blue ticks the last 20 of those years but started with Black and Tans. My blood was "Smoky River Blue Diamond Jim" Had a son straight out of him, "Southern Blue Streak" I miss it something awful couldnt begin to explain it after all those years. When I lost my leg I wasnt doing my dogs right by having to leave them in the pen. A friends Dad just retired and inherited a large track of land in FL and close to Alabama. I called him up and gave him my dogs on one condition, that he'd promiss me he would hunt them like they loved to be hunted, Every day if he could... Bud, I went 2 years without any hounds and like to went crazy right after my leg got wacked. So I got back to what got me started in hounds in the first place. Beagle Rabbit Dogs ... When I was a kid (14) a man had two beagles in his pack of hounds and all he did was deer hunt, these 2 beagles wanted nothing to do with a deer but would run the fur off a rabbit . He gave me these 2 dogs and I hunted rabbits around where I grew up . Then in High School a buddy on the football team we played for introduced me to my first coon hunt Thats all he and his Dad did . I was hooked and got a Puppy from Jerry my buddy a Black and Tan raised him up and trained him with Jerry and his Dads dogs we coon hunted just about every night. Got a grown female and bred the two both Black and Tans It grew to me having 6 coon hounds. Then Jerry and I started trialing our dogs in different countys and were doing purty good so I thought LOL But there was one fella who seemed to be doing a little better. He was runnin Blue Ticks... So I switched gears and got me a couple a Blue ticks. The rest was History I gave up the black and tans and was a Blue dog man since, up untill I had to quit it. I got nothing against Walkers they some good dogs too But I Loved my big ole Blue Ticks When I had to give it up, I had 18 head... All Blue Dogs. Now, I have 12 of some the finest 13" AKC ,ARHA Gun dogs Id ever want to have. I cant get in any swamps any more but edges of cut overs and tram roads to edges of briar patches you'll find me shotgun in hand and ready for Mr Rabbit to circle ... Next to Coon huntin This music is just as addictive too  ... Id love to go again someday to hear that music of coon hounds stuck on that tree, Yes sir... I miss it... beagleman78

What keeps you motivated and keeps you hunting??
Beagleman78 replied to Casey's topic in Physically Challenged Sportsmen
Norm Norm Dont know you but I feel like I do, Im glad to hear your heart is not the problem and my prayers are with you. In answere to the post, I couldnt ever quit, I might as well not be here if I did. I am 56 and have hunted most of my life 52 years hunting . The feelings that I get out there are undescribable yes its alot harder now but it makes me appreciate life in the Outdoors even more. Its better then any medicene a Dr can perscribe and the best stress reliever there is. Also my talks with Jesus Christ are more less in his office making it more 1 on 1 ... I like it that way. beagleman78
