vectrix.... and love it!

set the ground blind up today off a food plot.had been walking around and around trimming shooting holes for 30 minutes and just happened to look down and a 3 ft. timber rattler was less than six inches from my left foot. killed it with a machete. riding 4-wheeler back to camp and ran over a copperhead about 4 ft. and he suffered the same fate as the rattler. i hate 'em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

also the fact that bow season gives me 6 weeks of solitude before the gun hunters show up. our club has 1100 acres and 10 members, of which only two bowhunt. the other bowman owns a transmission repair business, so most days i have the entire place to myself....SWEET!

i think i'd hang in the timber

after reading all the posts, i feel a little stupid. i wear t-shirts and shorts when i hunt in my blind....no head net, no gloves. i do use the mesh. killed two does last year and one the year before out of the blind. maybe i just have dumb deer. i do brush it in very well. t-shirt, shorts and thermacell. seems to work for me.

i shoot from 20 yds. first and then back up to 30. i usually shoot 2 sets of 9 arrows from each spot. every other day i get into a stand in the back yard and shoot broadheads. once the season gets closer, i shoot one arrow every morning before i leave for work...helps my psychic doing that.

i have the same climber plus three api climbers. i always attach to straight trees with no knots or limbs. i put on the safety harness after i reach desired height while sitting facing the tree and before i stand up. i do use the footrest. i leave the pull-up rope attached to the stand. i generally climb between 20-25 feet.

i love it when there's not as many acorns. i love to scout and find those trees that are producing and hang a stand. it usually works for me.

they don't have any katera, but several vectrix, vectrix xl, and a couple of vulcan hoyts that are brand new from 07 are being sold at half price at a sporting goods store here. they are no longer a hoyt dealer and are trying to get rid of them. i had issues with hoyt because they refuse to honor warranty since the store is no longer a dealer....to me that shouldn't matter. the warranty should cover the bow and not necessarily the store. i could understand that if a bow was bought off ebay or whatever.

i have joined the hoyt community after several years with pse. found a brand new 07 vectrix on a close out for $350. couldn't pass it up. shoots really well!
