Muzzle loader starts this weekend for me. I am taking Friday off to hunt. I'm still gunning for the big 12 that I've got running around. Good luck all.

mikewink Team 5 - Dropin Tines 9 pointer 11/20/12

Here is a picture of the buck I got yesterday. I've got to get the other pics down loaded for the score board. I'm still sitting in hopes of a bigger buck. Shot him using my Remington Model 30 express Springfield 1906, a rifle that belonged to my grandfather, then my father, eventually it will go to my son.

Shot a cull buck this morning. A 2.5 year old 9 pointer, will post some pics a little later. Got to get him taken care of.

Sorry to hear that Hoosier! Passed on 9 different bucks in the last two days. Alot of chasing going on. I am spending the next 4 days on stand. I'll keep every one posted. Good luck!

Well I have the next week off. Sat today passed on 4 different bucks. Biggest was a 120ish 8. Will be out every day this week. Good luck all

Things have been difficult here to.. saw my first shooter this morning. I was running late. Walked out the door & there he was.......standing on the edge of the corn field 50 yards away.

Pig Sticker

Hunted hard all weekend. Not alot moving during daylight hours right now. I will probably make it out once this week. I'll make it out this weekend too. Next week our rifle season starts. Unfortunately, I have way too much vacation, and my boss is forcing me to take some during rifle season. And then some more during Muzzle loader.

Congrats on the Buck! Hopefully this weekend will produce a couple more for the team.

Sitting right now. Light wind out of the SE. 45 degrees. Wind is suppose to switch out of the SW. A doe & a yearling so far.

Sitting 23' up covering my corn field, not in a stand, but a really nice tree. SSW wind about 8-10 MPH. Probably 50 degrees. I can see the flash of my neighbors binoculars about 600 yards away. LOL!

Watching the first half of the Packer game and then I am heading to the woods...or should I say heading to the corn field....

Well guys I hope this change in weather brings about some deer movement. I've got my final bass tournement tomorrow morning. Gonna be cold and windy. But, I'm on the fish right now, so maybe that is good. I need a new scop anyways. Sunday I'll be getting into the woods. Good luck this weekend! Put em down!

Well I got a text this morning from a buddy. The buck I saw last night got nailed by one of my neighbors. He was a main frame 8 with a split on his left brow and a droptine on his right main beam....so he is off the list. Explains why he didn't show. So back to the woods.

Well the season kicked off today. I went out to the property to whittle on the 13 cords of wood piled up. I had no intention of hunting as the the corn is still standing. I got there and all the corn was cut. And my brother had got a good jump on the wood. So I started splitting....a half hour into it and 4 shooter bucks walking the north side of the field, I grabbed my bow and took off. I got set up where they should have crossed a small opening coming to water. I watched as all 4 of them crossed just out of range. The first buck was a pig around 150ish...can't get out till Sunday evening unless I call in sick of work :stretcher: or the wife decides to cancel all of her plans... LOL I'll keep every one posted. Well, the weather has turned chilly here. I have woke up to 30's the last couple days. If this keeps up I might actually hit the woods in the next week. The season doesn't start till the 1st of Oct. So we'll see. I might throw a camera or two out in the next couple days or so. I got a call from a guide buddy of mine and he needs some crop damage tags filled so I might get out a little bit this week and give him a hand.

Hey Guys, Just checking in. Season starts in a couple weeks. I probably won't hit the woods to mid next month. Looking forward to the season I've always got some nice deer running around my property. Mike
