  1. I use a elevated box blind. I like it alot because it holds some noise and sent in. It has never seemed to mess with deer patterns either. But also here in texas you have to have a stand elevated i believe its at least 2 feet. Im not real sure why though.
  2. Thanks alot i will give it a shot.
  3. What about us hunters who dont have the luxory of looking from a distance. I hunt in pineywoods and its not thick but i definitly can't scout from a distance anywhere. What should I do without possible scaring the deer out of their patterns when scouting trails?
  4. I think there are very few states left that you can do that in. You can't here in Texas. I've heard stories that it works great but is pretty dangerous.
  5. From all the expierences I've known it has worked. A buddy of mine used it and killed a gorgous nine point the very first time it was used. And I have personally seen plenty of deer walk up to the cmere deer I have used. So I would say yes it works really well.
  6. Sounds like you know what you are talking about. Thanks alot should help me next time i get a chance to head up to the deer lease.
  7. Bigger as in longer and wider? Will the hoofs be spread out further?
  8. Is there anyway to tell the difference between buck tracks and doe tracks? My feeder is covered with tracks and I am curious to know what kind of action I am getting at it. Just wondering if there is a distinction between the tracks.
  9. Little buck, haha, here in east texas that is a pretty big buck. I've seen some biggens around the area but for the most part it is just average size deer.
  10. My girlfriend loves to hunt just as much as I do. Heck she even has a bigger buck than me ha ha. But its ok because I am coming out ahead since she like to hunt.
  11. Definitly a back pack. Its just more convenient to carry all your extra essentials. I carry clothes extra gloves, a wool hat, small coats, and so on. Maybe even a small lunch if i sit all day.
  12. Thank yall a lot. I will definitly be trying them this year.
  13. I believe it is. The body size is very similar looking from the two different angles and the racks look the same as well.
  14. Nope...the season doesnt start for over a month but I moved my stand to a new spot cut some good wide lanes and I am super ready to get our season started here!
  15. I am thinking about rattling and using a grunt call this season to try and bring in a decent buck. I was wondering if these actually work? I have no expierence using them.
