remington 597Ive had problems with this gun from the get go. It misfired constantly, the firing pin will hit the bullet, but wont fire it. I have used all ammunition on this gun, even remington brand. And I am sorry, i know certain guns work better with certain ammo, but if the remington brand gun doesnt work with remington brand ammo, well i dont want anything to do with it. The hold open mechanism just totally fell apart. I had purchased a 30 round mag off of the remington website, and the magazine didn't even fit, and then it just caused the gun to jam up. After many attempts to have it repaired and get it working again i just gave up. I only had the gun for 6 months. Total piece of crap. I decided to just send it back to remington, I didn't even want my money back. However after all the time and money i spent on the gun I wanted to save on shipping so i just decided to reduce the size of the gun for convenience. DON'T BUY THIS GUN!!!!! oh actually stray away from remington, My 870 jammed up straight out the box.
