  1. nice finds. soon as this snow melts a little im gonna have to get out and look
  2. Anyone finding any sheds yet in the Southern Il area? Haven't had a chance to get out and start looking yet. Thanks.
  3. Yea I know all of the sign should be gone but within the last week I've had a buck rubbing on three different trees around my food plot as well as cleaning out a scrape. Just thought it was awful weird to see this late in the season. One of the rubs is on a tree the size of my leg. Both are fresh because I had checked the area last week and now theres shaving below the tree from where he has rubbed on them again.
  4. Hey, I had a question. I live in Illinois and I've never noticed bucks making new rubs and refreshing scrapes this late in the year. Is anyone else seeing this as well or have I just not came across any previously? Thanks
  5. I hunt a lot at Rend Lake area which is all public hunting. I saw about 9 shooter bucks before season started, and haven't saw any of them yet since season started. I had a small 9 pointer about 100" is the biggest I've saw. Found about 30 rubs the week before season and have found some newer ones in the last week. I haven't found a single scrape yet though. Good luck to you guys in the coming weeks
  6. I've found plenty of rubs but no scrapes in the area yet. I am thinking the same thing that it will start picking up here in the next week or so.
  7. layin the smackdown, I agree. Don't know what part of Illinois you are in, but my parents live down in Cypress and they saw one down there last year on the side of a cornfield.
  8. Oops I put Wildview in the original message, I meant Wildgame Innovations, sorry. To me this is a terrible camera, its really bad on battery life and takes bad night pictures. I like my older stealthcam thats like a 2002 model way better
  9. Very unfortunate. I'd be having it looked at though to see why it did it in the first place. I bought my girlfriend a new Diamond bow from Bass Pro this year and we got it home and started shooting it, and it was shooting really bad off past ten yards. After going through two sites and realizing that it wasn't the site I noticed that the cam was cutting into the string. We had to take it all the way back to St. Louis, 2 1/2 hours away and they fixed it.
  10. Yeah the moultrie and the bushnell were two of the three I was considering, as well as the stealthcam sniper.
  11. I'm wanting to buy another trail camera. I have an old StealthCam that takes the 35mm film and a Wildview 5.0. I don't really care for the picture quality of the Wildview, my older StealthCam takes much better pictures. What brand do you guys suggest? I want one that takes good day and night pictures, preferably IR. Thanks.
  12. Wow that thing is huge....Would love to see better pics if/when you get them
  13. I'd take the second one incase its a genetic issue, so he doesn't pass it along
