  1. ill try and post pics this afternoon but the primer sits down in like a cup and the cap screws down over it it has threads but it is a very loose thread like it will still move around but not fall of cause of the threads then there is a pin inside the cap the hammer hits the cap and it moves just enought on the threads to set off the primer
  2. Hey guys i dont know much about muzzeloaders besides what my grandfather showed me as far as loading the weapon and cleaning the weapon, yet my grandfather gave me his old muzzel loader and I wanted to hunt with it a couple times I know now how much powder i need and what size ball etc, now for the question the weapon has a 209 primer and it seems like a remember a cap that used to screw over top the primer and the hammer hit that, we cant seem to find the cap in his gun cabinet no where or on the internet or gun stores, soooo, im looking for sugestions please
  3. thanks guys I really love bow hunting its diffrent with a rifle its easy if you can see them you can kill them, with a bow the hunt starts the second you step foot towards the woods every step you take is crucial, with a gun I used to almost park the fourwheeler under my stand and filled my buck limit every year with nice bucks now i dont even take the fourwheeler and have the challange of not only just seeing the deer but trying to get him to come with in 40yds now thats hunting

  11. Bear hollow wma is a good place lots of land but it can be good or bad if you hunt it long enough and just know where the spots are then it is a great place. If you dont take time to learn it then you wont have great success. Its south of winchester tn almost to alabama
