  1. Don't waste the money. It is way to expensive. I found some feed at tractor supply called sweet feed it is horse food. It is mainly made of grain pellets and cracked corn it is all mixed with molases. i have found that deer love it i kept a pile in front of my trail camera and i was averaging 600 pictures a week and it is only 9 dollars for a 50 pound bag.
  2. I like to carry a back pack because i was always taught that you can shed some layers but you can't put extra on. I take one during rifle season because i usually end up being the dog because i get my deer early. It is nice because i can take the layers of clothes off that i don't need and i can put them in the back pack. I also carry all of the esentails in there. The usual a knife, drag rope, a couple of bottles of water, Tp and all of the survival stuff just in case i get lost or i need to help a fellow hunter out.
  3. My dad bought a Highpoint pistol in 45 acp just for this reason. It is a very inexpensive pistol. He bought it for 225.00. Some people that you talk to about it say it is a heavy awkward peice of junk which it is heavy and awkward but it surpassed my idea of a peice of junk. This pistol is very accurate for the price. I shot out a bullseye at 50 yards with it and it groups nicely. Like i said this pistol is on the heavy side but it works great for the cheap price. Last time i checked it came in 9mm, .40s&w, and 45 acp.
  4. Any marlin really. They are a pretty rugged gun. I was given my 22 wmr by my uncle and this gun wasn't in the best of conditions. I refinished the stock and cleaned it up nicely and i put a new sweet 22 scope on it and it is the best rimfire rifle that i have shot besides my savage 17.
  5. I use a Marlin 22 wmr for squirrel and after i shot it in at 50 yards it was shooting pretty good. That was a good distance because i was shooting squirrel out to 75 or 80 yards.
  6. Yes it does. It all depends on the load you want the specific brand you want to shoot and the type of bullet that that cartriges are topped with. I prefer Remington loads, but Federal loads are compareable.
  7. My favorite rifle would have to be my good old Remigton Game Master 760 chambered in .30-06. My dad gave it to me a couple of years ago because he had to quit hunting. I recently put a brand new Bsa Catseye scope. I shoot 165 grain noslers out of it and it makes for a deadly all around deer hunting load.
  8. I just started coyote hunting within the last two years. I was wondering what would the best way to hunt coyotes in Pennsylvania. I usually hunt them at night using a cotton tail distress and the occasional pup distress call at night using a red light. I have not had much success this way and i was wondering if i could possibly hunt them duing the day. While I hunt them at night I wear all the same clothes that i do for archery and i use all of the same scent prevention.
