I just noticed when this topic was started-5years ago! woo- oh well, the rut still comes in the same time this year.

I live in Pulaski, 30min from VT. What's really bad about hunting the Nat. Forest around here is that it gets really crowded so it's really best to find some private land. But, I have done some scouting here in Pulaski Co. and it seems there are plenty of deer around it just takes some hiking deeper in the woods or a four-wheeler to get away from those areas that fellow hunters go to. And, if you do this you'll find more sign and more deer.
