  1. Funny story there Tony...lol I've done similiar...yesterday I get to the tree I want to get in and realize I forgot my strap for the upper part of my climber stand, the one that secures it to the tree..So out with the rope to tie it up.. One time I dropped a glove in the dead of winter when I was in VA, and of course I had to get it...I ended up tying one of the screw in tree hooks to a line and fished for the glove for about 20 min before hookin it...
  2. I purchased 1 Luminoc the other day just to try them out (after missing a doe @ 40 with no arrow recovery as it skipped off the ground and into the woods). I figure, 1 costs $10, how much does a complete arrow costs..you do the math..
  3. Thank you all for your insight on the issue.. The G5's shot closer to the field points than the Muzzy 4-blades do. With the Muzzies, I had to move my sights up just a little, as it was shooting about 4 inches higher than the G5s.. I have not paper tuned it in a while, but nonetheless, my arrows are all landing perfectly straight in the target, out to 40 yds. This I assume would mean the bow is still properly setup, or the arrows would stick sideways, or up or down in the target.. Correct me if I'm wrong here please? Again, thank you all for your input...Nice to read so many helpful suggestions
  4. I was just curious as to what you guys think.. I'm shooting a Fred Bear TRX 300-Realtree..Bow shoots great and all. When I shoot field points, G5 Montec 3-blades 100gr or Muzzy4-blade 100gr, they all require different sight adjustments. Is this just so typical of using the 2 or how ever many different manufactured fixed broadheads? I'm using the same XT Hunter 5575 arrows that I've always used. Or is this possibly something going on with the bow?
  5. Those are awesome guys! I can't post one yet cos I missed my first doe shot yesterday..I do have a pic of her, standing there looking like a deer, waiting for me to miss her at 40 yds...hahaha
  6. That was a great story!! Got us all hyped up and stuff....lol
  7. Well here goes..My 1st and only bow Fred Bear TRX 300 (60# draw) XT Hunter 5575 arrows G5 Montec fixed 3-blade 100gr.. It's speced at 305 fps, not sure what it is really.. I've shot one doe with it, and she never got off the ground after being hit from 20yds...I'm good like that..
  8. That's def a brute...Nice work... I hope to get one this year here in Alabama...took a doe my second year bowhunting in VA... I love this sport!!
  9. I'm currently up in Anniston right now, waiting for the season to start..I've been scouting but haven't spooked any deer, although signs are present..I'll be primarily hunting the Chocolocco WMA.. I also created a forum for Alabama WMA hunters (specifically), similiar to one I was a member of in Virginia..Come on over if you like and post some info if ya have any..http://alwma.proboards.com/
