I would actually recommend the Parker Sidekick Extreme XP, same concept as the Diamond, to adjust the draw length it requires no press just an allen head wrench, and you can start with the lower 20-40# limbs and for $50 send the bow to parker and they replace the limbs for you and ship it back. My fiance actually shoots the pink camo verson of the Parker SEXP and she loves it, it's a great starter bow for those up and comers.

I'm stuck in training for work for 5 weeks (so basically all the way through the PA archery season), but I do get to hunt every Saturday and maybe get a Friday evening. I just need to get my fiance into the stand when I'm gone so she might actually see something and that's the hard part.

I'm hunting in the Indiana area.

The blind looks really good, I might be able to utilize a design like that on the property I'll be hunting, however from the pictures I couldn't quite see how exactly you entered and exited the blind?

I use a QAD Hunter drop away rest (49.99 - 59.99) depending on the sale, and I have no complaints (Put one on my fiances new Parker bow this year as well), doesn't touch my fletchings, and haven't seen a problem with bounce back. I'd highly recommend the QAD line of drop aways

After getting a good luck kiss from my fiance, I headed out to some property to see if it was a good spot to set up a stand. (My fiance purchased a Parker Sidekick Extreme Xp 20 - 40lbs. to enjoy my passion with me, however this time she decided she would nap while I checked the property)So I took my climber (Summit Viper SS) and started up the hill along a horse trail. About half way up I noticed a deer feeding in a clearing, so I got down and removed my climber, took out my backpack (it was tucked into the seat of my climber for carry) and took out my mask, and gloves and range finder.As I watched the deer, I nocked an arrow, donned my mask and gloves and ranged the deer. She was at 118yrds, and appeared to be walking away from me, as she disappeared into the woods, I noticed a good tree 6 yrds in front of me that I could climb and hope she would come back and walk the same horse trail. At this time she stepped back into the clearing, so I crept up a few steps and used a fallen pine tree, and green briers to break up my figure. I ranged her again at 73 yrds, as she started walking towards me, and ranged a tree at 52 yards. There was a small stone wall in front of me at 30 yards. She was at aprox. 60 yards when I went to full draw (I was kneeling by this point) and I waited until she came across the stone wall (30 yards), I dropped my sight to my 30 yrd pin and let fly. I heard a *THWAP!* and the doe stumbled forward and fell. I knew that the rage 2-blade had done it's job and so did I. She ended up being about 40 yards from where I shot her.Shes not the biggest but shes mine. Hopefully this is the first of many to come, and I can only hope that once I do put the stand up on the property my fiance has the chance to see the deer I'm always so excited to see (even when in the car).Hope you all enjoyed the story and wish you luck in this years endeavors.

I love my block target, and would love to upgrade to the block 4x4. I shoot over 100 arrows a day when the snow melts, and after 1 season it's still in tip top shape.

I shoot cock vane up, I've tried to switch (with blazers and duravanes) and the fletchings hit the rest. So I believe up is the way to go, if your still having an issue, make sure everything is tight on the rest and make sure it's tuned correctly.

I did the exactly that earlier today, brought a small 6 to my stand from 100 yards away to 35 yards away.

Anyone know where (on youtube.com or any where) they demonstrate how to replace the blades? I see that there is just a pin but exactly how do I get this pin out? I don't have a vice and the pin I'm sure has got a decent fit...Can anyone help me out?

A previous thread got me looking at the String Splitter peep and I also came across the String Sight. Was wondering if anyone had any experience with either of these products and if so what was your opinion on them? I can only hope. I have yet to see a lot of deer movement. I'm getting pretty frustrated.

I like the Primos Silver XP Earth Blend Scent killer, same with the laundry detergent, used this stuff before I had my scent lok suit and it worked great, it's worked just as good with my suit.

I use a QAD Hunter rest, love it, can even turn the bow upside down if I'd like. Don't like the whisker biscuit because I look to shoot a lot and after a bit the whiskers will actually start warping your fletchings. The hostage rest actually has really abrasive bristles not a big fan of the price either. I would recommend the QAD products.
