  1. so, since I don't have a press and can't find anyone within two hours to work on my bow I've decided to try a recurve, but I'd like to know what you guys think as far as pros and cons to recurves :gunsmilie:
  2. I would but my budget is tight to the point that I'm making stuff for my bow lol...I like the rubber rings idea, I have a bunch of thick rubber bands maybe I'll try rolling them up and stuffing them in it
  3. thats what my father in law suggested. sounds like a good idea what is a good weight for a stabilizer?
  4. this is what I came up with, two pvc caps, pvc, and a bolt :gunsmilie: now I have to figure out what to fill it with...:eat:and paint it camo
  5. ^^^^...I like the storage idea :cool2: today I got a piece of pvc a couple bolts and some other misc. things so hopefully something will come of it.
  6. the nearest archery store is 2 hours from where I live but there is a hardware store right down the road, so I want to make a home made stabilizer, if you have any ideas I'm all ears :eat:
  7. we shoot them regularly here in utah, there is an infestation of them :gunsmilie:
  8. I have a pse nova, I've had the bow for a few months and I've shot it pretty consistently, I went to shoot it today and the nock came off the string, the arrow didn't leave the whisker bisquit and now my strings are loose, what caused this?
  9. I recently aquired a PSE Nova from a guy at work, but it is bare bones, I believe that the fall away rest on it isn't very good, I'd like to upgrade that, but I was wodering what you guys would suggest as far as sights and other essentials to make this a good bow
  10. so a guy I met at work on friday gave me some pointers and traded me my little browning micro midas for a pse nova! he had it in his truck and was showing me some things and mentioned he wanted a bow for his son, I told him I had the browning and he just offered to trade strait accross, then the talk began about my arm. he's been bow hunting a while and was able to give me some good tips :boxing:
  11. I will keep that in mind. I've been working on my draw trying to build a "technique" with my weaker arm. :ninja: thanks mark
  12. I have trouble with one of my arms, this guy is amazing, now I know that I have no excuse not to do what I love :hammer1:
  13. crossbow would be cool but can you hunt regular bow hunts with a crossbow? camoman that bow is awesome! I'll look into that :ninja: what happened to my arm is that I have two six inch plates in my forearm, one on each bone, and 60 percent of the muscle in my forearm is herniated (not sure how to spell that) and that causes my thumb to be weak, causing my grip to be weak. but I'm going to take this bow to someone to max out the draw and help me out, I haven't been active with a bow since the wreck, but I really would like to hunt again. :crutch:
