  1. Thanks, I want to have a square dance dress made with the Realtree Hardwoods camo for next year. With coordinating "khaki" colors (tan and light khaki green)...
  2. Prayers went up and will continue.. I'm so sorry to hear that... I also pray for peace of mind and comfort for him.
  3. Wow, I love Autumn (or Fall, whatever you want to call it)... I love the colors... Our trees (in East Texas) take a long time to turn colors, of course, due to our weather... but after we returned from our antelope hunt in Wyoming, I noticed our trees had already started to change... I took some pics in Wyoming, too (of trees, etc... besides our hunting successes of course). Thanks for sharing them. I hope it's okay to mention this here, but I have also uploaded and posted my pics (with restrictions) in Panoramio (part of Google)... which are also used in Google Earth. Beautiful pics!
  4. No, I'm sorry I know that doesn't help. But I'm sure it has happened a lot. Have you changed your email password since that happened? And probably notify your ISP (Internet Service Provider) if different than your email server? I wonder if you could also notify the FTC, also so they can track down where the emails came from after your email account was used for that bad deed? But the first thing I would do is change my password to one that would take too long to figure out by hackers.
  5. I'd say he's about 2 1/2 years old.
  6. Those ARE indeed nice "future" shooters! 8-point, right? Yup, I'd wait for it too grow with bigger antlers (and more points of course)... In KY, do you call them 4 x 4 or like we do in Texas, 8-point?
  7. Thanks, y'all... I did have fun.. I actually enjoyed crouching and crawling.... But, of course, the best part was hunting with my husband AND getting a doe! I don't know why... but there were no cactus where we hunted (near Lusk, WY)... or maybe the cactus were scared of us... LOL.
  8. Okay, it's just called "Texans" for hunters/huntresses in Texas" (I think).. but the main one is: TEXANS. You'll see it in the "Social Groups" (for you newbies, newer than myself). Let me know if you want to join.. I'll try not to take so long to accept y'all this time.
  9. Actually the group isn't that new anymore, but I'm trying to make sure I log in more this time to maintain it ... It's called Texan Hunters, I think (I'll go back and check and let you know). Gosh, it has been too long...
  10. Good luck to everyone this hunting season!
  11. Got a Pronghorn Antelope Doe in Wyoming... Earlier this month... I had a lot of fun! Wish I had a buck tag, though.. maybe I'll do it another year (don't know when). Here's my story with photos to follow: Friday, Oct. 1, 2010: We headed out that afternoon, so I could get my pronghorn doe. After we got out there, My husband, Mike and I walked, and then crawled when we got closer to the place to scout and wait for a doe. We saw many but they were too far away and then started running away. Since we were told they travel in a big circle we waited to see if they’d come back and closer for me to shoot. But it was getting colder with the wind picking up so we headed back to the truck. I’d try again the next morning. Saturday, October 02, 2010: I got up early this time to go get a pronghorn doe. But when we got to the same spot as the day before, it was cloudy and foggy in some parts. We couldn’t see anything until after the fog cleared. When we did, we saw 6 bucks and 30 to 40 doe but they were too far for me to shoot, so again we headed back to the truck. I wasn’t disappointed, because I knew it just wasn’t the right time to get a doe. After I had a good nap, we drove back to a pasture that we had previously seen a buck and doe bedded down. They were still there so we decided to put a stalk on the doe. Mike and I got out of the truck. As I was trying to get ready to shoot, I saw the buck and doe run off. We had spooked them. Then before we got to the truck, Mike wanted to show me the best way to get the shot, that’s right, lying on my belly, which I did... then noticed at that same time the doe and buck stopped and started grazing again. Then getting the doe in the scope (Mike kept stressing “the one on the left”), I shot from about 250 yards and the doe went down. Like my first animal, I asked, “Did I get ‘er”? Mike confirmed that she went down first thing. Then we walked to it (at first the buck didn’t leave, then left as we got closer) and I saw her! What an elation!!! My first pronghorn antelope! A "Before" photo - scouting for does Got 'er done!

  13. New Texans Group (Social Groups) I'm sorry, I didn't have much time to say much about it as I should have. It was late and I wanted to post it.. No wonder nobody responded.. I wouldn't have either. I saw a bunch of other groups from other States but didn't see any for Texans so I created one.... And I realize now it shouldn't be just for Texans but for those of you who are interested in Texas hunting/Fishing or just vacationing.. etc... Also, especially if you were born in Texas and live somewhere else or weren't born in Texas and live in Texas now.. doesn't matter... Now, I guess I can look for California, Montana, Nebraska, and Wyoming groups?? (I used to live there - was born in California)...
  14. That's for sure.. Just be sure you don't stay up too late the night before you go to work... (I should talk, yup, I do that).. But I'm sure you don't. I'm looking for a job. I got an email from a local hospital. I accidentally (didn't look at the work schedule) applied for a position in the evening shift in the ECC (Emergency Care Unit) as a Unit Secretary and just recently received an email to call to make an appointment for an interview. I did, but it was Friday afternoon so I'm going to call again Monday. Anyway.. like the others said, you'll get used to it. But everyone has his or her own way of adjusting. I know what mine will be ... "Not to stay up too late on the computer"... that is if I get the job. - But I'm not going to expect it, but I'll try hard to do good in the interview. I do have to start somewhere, just like you. Maybe it wasn't an accident.. maybe it was meant to be. Take care!
  15. Thanks . Hey, Shaun, how where did you get that temperature thing to put on your signature? That's cool.
  16. I hate moving too... Which is why I've stayed in Texas. Especially when I don't have time to sort out what I want to throw away and what to keep to move.

  18. Bless your hearts, I remember when our son was a baby.. it is definitely hard to see our babies suffer and not be able to help them. Although he didn't have a reaction to any shots, Matt had colic (for just a couple of days, I think), then occasional night terrors.. What helped him was putting in a video tape (we didn't have dvd's then) of The Muppet's Family Christmas (when the muppets and others spent Christmas at Fozzie's mom's farm house).. I don't know why, but it soothed him. Take care, glad your little one is feeling better, though.
  19. From what I've read (or skimmed).. and I didn't see that show, either.. I'm just thinking he may have tried to be funny... I know I've said some things that I thought would be funny.. that didn't come out the way I meant it to. And it's so true that others can take things the wrong way because of the different ways that we say the same thing, our dialect (accent), and where we're from. He's human just like the rest of us.
  20. Yup, my husband snores loud.. so I just use earplugs.. and even then, I can still hear him snore, but not so loud that I can't sleep. I have one ear that's almost deaf (nerve damage since birth and hereditary hearing loss), so that helps..me.. but ladies, please don't anyone try to lose your hearing just so you won't hear your husband snore.
  21. I'm so sorry to hear that.. I'll keep her and you and your family in my prayers..
  22. Thanks for the welcome, y'all . I just posted some pics. 2 different albums: Fishing and Hunting. I'm sure they'll be more. I know there's not many. But my husband, Mike, got started at an earlier age than I did (18) as I'm sure most of you have. But, better late than never.:gun2:
