  1. Thanks this has helped a lot. I'll be able to check it out this weekend I hope, my dad has a scan tool I can borrow that will read all the sensor readings. I can also check the fuel pressure while I'm at it. I haven't done any work on my wife's '96 yet, we only bought it a couple of months ago, so it very well could be as simple as plugs and wires. Nathan
  2. My dad hasn't been able to start his '98 Blazer for a couple days in this weather (it's hardly cracked 15 degrees for a while now). My wife's '96 Blazer has somewhat of the same issue but it will start after a bit of coaxing. Is this just a problem with that whole family of vehicles or is something else to blame? My GMC Jimmy starts fine in this cold, even after sitting still for three days in 5 degree windy weather so I find it hard to believe that all those vehicles have that same issue. Nathan
  3. My brother has an '03 400 and brags quite a bit about its power and durability. He runs a 60-inch plow on it and says it never has to work to push it. The only problem he ever had with it was when a wire got pulled loose and wrapped around a rubber bushing on the front drive shaft, tearing it to pieces. That wasn't a very cheap fix, but it wasn't hard either. Nathan
  4. I hope someone does. Might keep everyone else away. Good luck finding the gun. Nathan
  5. Congratulations! Its not easy to hit a running deer. Nathan
  6. That's exactly how I sighted my gun in. I however had the same problem as you have Smackdown, I kept missing deer that were easy shots. 3 out of 4 misses were probably on me but I should have tagged them all. Still haven't figured out why, but it all worked out in the end when I shot a decent buck at 75 yards. Nathan
  7. Sweet! He sure knows how to coordinate gifts! Nathan
  8. Congratulations to you and your dad! Perseverance sure pays off, I too learned that this year. Nathan
  9. Good job bud! That's one sweet lookin' buck. Nathan
  10. Shot this fella five days ago. Not a big boy by most anybody's standards but with as tough a season as it was and how everything finally just fell together perfectly, I'll remember this hunt for a while :cowboy: Nathan
  11. Happy birthday! Hope you have a good one :soda: Nathan
  12. We've had snow for three weeks now. Glad of it, once the middle of November rools around I'm ready for some Nathan
  13. Darn right they are! And I worked hard for this one too. He wasn't the biggest buck I saw during the season but I had the clearest shot at him, so I'm happy with what I've got Nathan
  14. Those are some good bucks. Congrats to the three of you Nathan
  15. Congrats on your buck! He pretty darn near fills up that box on your little truck Nathan
  16. Congrats bud sure looks like you had a good season this year. Love the picture of your wife in the bibs. I tried taking my wife out during the Iowa shotgun season and after two days she gave up due to the cold lol Nathan
  17. God is good. This has been the toughest season I've hunted since I started going along for shotgun season 6 or 7 years ago. Extreme cold, blowing snow, and rain and ice kept hindering all my efforts and keeping the deer in bed. I also missed a few pretty easy shots. I finally tagged a buck in the last hour of the last day. The neighbor to the west of us made a push in the adjoining timber to where we were hunting and ran some deer beneath my stand. I took a shot at the deer I had the cleanest shot at. He wasn't the biggest buck, but with how hard it's been this year I'll definitely take him with a smile on my face. Also of note, it was my first kill with my Optima muzzleloader. Nathan
  18. Congrats to the hunter John. That's a good looking deer Nathan
  19. I just wear 16-inch barnyard muck boots with a couple pairs of socks. Tall enough that I can still cross creeks with dry feet and light enough that my feet don't feel heavy. Don't wear too many socks though; my feet will just sweat and get colder than if I only wore a pair or two. Nathan
  20. Yeah that happens sometimes but at least you've got a good attitude about it man. Go get your board in some powder and tear up some slopes Nathan
  21. I'm sure the girls will love this. I can remember a time when I would have killed to go to Disney Nathan
  22. Gosh this one had me laughing Nathan
  23. My way too It sure looks like you guys had a fun time Shaun Maybe you should look into getting Becky a coat so she can stay off the couch longer Nathan
  24. Wow that's a great lookin' buck Will :flex: Congrats, I'd sure be proud to hold that one. Nathan
