What would you have preffered my first post to be? While I appreciate any insight you can provide, your pretentiousness toward a new poster without knowing anything about them except for your forgone conclusion comes across as a little brash. Those actions are counter entuitive to what a forum community, in my mind, is supposed to be. I read these forums from time to time when I get a free moment to. Although I haven't contributed, it's not due to me being the first time here along with many other reasons that you would probably find stupid. About my selection...To tell you the truth I didn't know anything about the Unit. I have some family that that lives in Unit 15. This is our first time hunting elk in NM and 23 was our third option. I asked my family about it but they don't know much about it either. We selected 15 as our first option 16 as our second and 23 only because it was connected to 15. Unless I just feel absolutely compelled to post again, this will be my third and final post. Thanks for everyones help.

My brother and I both drew a tag for Unit 23 for Sept 11-18th. Has anyone on here ever hunted this unit? If so, where should we start?
