Canada was great as always this year. Manitoba in particular. On most mornings I had 10 guests in Layout blinds which is normally tough, but we were able to get it done for 16 days. Plenty of days with 80 field mallards done before 9am, Honkers were plentiful everyday, and on most others we were able to decoy and swat out our fair share of Snow and Blues. Most days were 80+ birds downed. Believe it or not, we shot 38 Blue wing teal up there last week! Can't wait for it to get going down here in Missouri.

I really like the Mathews Z7. Light, Smooth, Quiet, and Fast! I also use a Switchback(back up now) and like it as well.

If you try one of the Scout 1000/1200 range finders, I think you will find that you have made a good choice for both archery and rifle hunting. Ad ARC into the equation and in my opinion, you have the "entire package". Bushnell started the handheld hunting range finder channel, and IMHO are still ahead on the learning curve. I hope this does not come off as spam. Thanks

6th day up here in Manitoba and the hunting has been great! Snows and Blues are showing up and wanting to work the spread! Hunted 10 hunters this morning in Layout Blinds - 63 geese by 9:30 am. 17 snows that lit in the pocket. Walleyes have been on the bite we have boated 20 in the last 3 days between 4 and 10 pounds! New birds are showing up daily. Anyone else north of the border puttin' it on em'?

Congrats on the Moose, Tim!! I knew you would bring one home!

My Holo - Sight works Awesome on my SX3 and I have a Bushnell Trophy T dot on my Black Powder Shotgun. I couldn't ask for anything to work any better!

I've seen a small set like you have work excellent. I agree with Missed160, flagging can make the difference of you watching the birds fly by or watching them pitch down in your spread. Like everything else, use it in moderation, the same holds true with the calling. Knowing when NOT to call is key...you can always add more, but after you have already called too much, you can't take it back. Make sure you are on the "x", make sure you are hidden well, and modify the flagging and calling, everything else should fall into place. Good luck!

Bulls are screaming right now! I had a specific bull I wanted to take. It almost "happened" twice, but I couldn't get my self to take an "iffy" shot. We were in bulls everyday, 25 - 30 for the week. At one point, I had "my bull" screaming at me at less than 60 yards in the dark timber. he was cowed up, but was really upset that there was another "bull" in his area, so close, and a day in the woods I will never forget! Came home with no elk, but a load of new memories that I will never let loose of. The ones that remind us of why we are out there! I can't wait to get back! Now, off to Canada on Thursday!! Honkers beware! Be back in 3 weeks!!

Thanks for the invite! I can't tell you how much I appreciate it! Likewise, if you are ever in NW Missouri and need a hand, don't hesitate.

16 days of honkers and ducks with a few days of black bear hunting mixed in. Always a great time! -
I know I am probably a little biased, but , the Bushnell Trail Cams have worked nothing short of perfect for me the last 2 seasons. Long Battery Life ( up to a year)and up to an 8gig pic.
