You can get a big(240gal) water tank used on craigslist for under 100$ and get a gravity fed drip irrigation system for under 50$ if you only have a few trees to water. for 150$ you can have a pretty good system. It will take some work but if you mulch and can get out to the trees every so often they will have a much better chance than plant and pray. I am wanting to take my wife out west for a hunt. She would like a muley or elk. I live in the South(South Carolina) and have never been out west. What is the best source for someone starting with no knowledge about hunting out west(other than Road Trips). I am looking to get a guided hunt and need to know all that I can. Uncle Sam is saying I get a free vacation to Afghanistan sometime in 2012 so I need to get the trip in this year. What book, magazine or website should I go to?

It sounds like the shots were off. Bullets will only damage the area they hit. The only deer that I have shot and had do a high back leg kick I made a bad shot and never found the deer. Ballistic tip or not if you hit it far back it is probably lost. I shot mine with Cor-Bon the best in the cartridge game and got nothing

Also go take training beyond a ccw class. Take a Fighting pistol class.
