I am going to Kansas to hunt dec of 2011 , and the main piece of advice I am getting is to get wind proof clothes to try and stay warm , can anyone give me some real head to toe recommendations , please have experience with real Cold , I'm from Florida !! Can't afford bad advice on this one !

Well everyone , good news , I found out last night that my hunt will be guided so I'm not so worried about shooting a smaller deer . Plus my pastor who killed a 170 inch , ten point is bringing his horns for me to see tomorrow at church , so I'll het a better idea of what BIG looks like

Next hunting season I will have the opportunity to hunt for 5 days in Kansas . My dream hunt come true . My friends that went this year all tagged deer 150+ so I'm really pumped. But since I'm from Florida and only hunt in florida how should I prepare, and how do I keep from shooting this first deer I see thinking it's a giant since I've never seen anything above 125 in person ? Hunters let me know something

Are grunt calls effective all season long ?

What is the best way to get to your stand without getting busted , I have an open gas line to walk down to climb my tree inside a tree-line but no Matter what time of the morning I go there always seems to be one or two doe bedded down somewhere in the open area, the only access I have to my stand , what can I do ??

How long does it take to go from velvet to complete hard antler , I have a buck on trail cam that looks as If he turned within an eleven hour period , anybody know anything about this ?
