Branch Davidian Compound, Waco, Texas. Federal agents raided the Branch Davidian compound near Waco. The armed standoff ended violently on April 19, 1993, when the compound burned to the ground. At the of that day, 76 Branch Davidians, including 21 children, were dead. We know that David Koresh was a nut case. But was the means by which law enforcement and government officers took justify the death of children and their parents in the explosive fire that took their lives. It's been said that David Koresh would go to town different times and bring back supplies for the compound. If that was the case, then why wasn't he arrested on those occasions?

Please Note: This is not new new's. This is old news for many of us. But it is still a reminder for us and a wake-up call for those not famaliar with this story. THE RANDY WEAVER CASE By Jim Oliver Another Federal Fiasco! BATF's entrapment of Randy Weaver led to the violent deaths of three people. Says his defense attorney, Gerry Spence: "What happened to Randy Weaver can happen to anybody in this country." Seeing his dog Striker, shot to death by masked intruders clad in camouflage, Sammy Weaver, 14, fired back in fear for his life. The 4 ft., 11" tall youngster was hit in the arm, then shot in the back as he turned to run home. He died instantly, killed by an agent of the federal government. Cradling her 10-month-old daughter in her arms, Vicki Weaver stood in the doorway of her home, mourning her slain son, unaware that she herself had only seconds to live. In an instant a bullet tore into Vicki Weaver's face, blew through her jaw and severed her carotid artery. The bullet was fired from 200 yds. away by an agent of the federal government. What had the Weaver family done to bring FBI snipers and submachine-gun-toting U.S. marshals to the woods around their cabin on Ruby Ridge in Northern Idaho? Why did the government act as though the Weavers had forfeited the protections guaranteed all Americans by the United States Constitution? Who made the decisions that led to their unjustified deaths and also to the death of deputy U.S. Marshall William Degan? For the six men working near Weaver's plywood cabin on Ruby Ridge, Aug 21, 1992, was another day on the job that had been going on more than 16 months. Their employer, the U.S. government, was spending $13,000 a week, and there had been no end in sight to the work. The cabin, really a shack, was home to 44 year old former Green Beret Randy Weaver and his family, wife Vicki and son, Sammy, and daughters, Sara, Rachel and Elisheba. It was also home to their young friend, Kevin Harris. They were subsistence hunters, and tended a garden, putting up vegetables. A generator produced occasional electricity. They had no TV, no radio. For nearly a year and a half, federal agents had roamed the area, picking locations for surveillance and for snipers. Degan belonged to the Special Operations Group, the Marshals national SWAT team. The six on-site this day were deputy U.S. Marshals. The target of all of this and of a Federal law enforcement effort would eventually total approx $ 3 million was Randy Weaver. What kind of criminal was he to demand this kind of attention? Was he a major drug dealer? Serial killer? Was he a terrorist bomber? On Oct 24, 1989, Weaver sold two shotguns whose barrels arguably measured 1/4 inch less that the 18 inch length determined arbitrarily by Congress to be legal. The H&R single-barrel 12 gauge and Remington pump were sold to a good friend who instructed Weaver to shorten the barrels. The "good friend" was an undercover informant working for the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (BATF), who later told reporters he was in it "mainly for the excitment." Kindly read this complete insightful article by Jim Oliver. And thank God for defense attorney Gerry Spence who could see through all the lies, distortion and fabrication presented by law enforcement and government employee's regarding this case when it went to trial. World's Most Amazing 'Big Game' Hunter.

I can find no reference or evidence of Golden Eagles being trained for hunting. Falcon's, yes. This video is not of the best quality, however, there is no visual appearance of any string as of the nature you described attached to their talons. -

World's Most Amazing 'Big Game' Hunter.
mortensen replied to mortensen's topic in Big Game & Exotics
Hello COEngineer and thank you for your comments. I have a few questions regarding this video also. However, to the best of my knowledge the video of the the eagle knocking the goat off the side of a mountain or cliff are authentic. I question some of the editing regarding the inflight of the goat to the eagles nest however. There should be suffecient evidence on the internet to support the theory that Golden Eagles can and do attack coyote and even wolf, especially after the wolf or coyote has made a kill. There is also a youtube video whereby a Golden Eagle attacked a small child (baby) and flew with it for a short distance and dropped the child. If the parents and others were't around the eagle would have (most likely) start eating this child (alive). I have a Native American Guide I use when hunting Antelope in Arizona. He is from the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation. He is the one who told be that the tribes are very weary of the Golden Eagle being seen in the vicinity of small children and evidently there concern was based on an incident in their history and I would never question his integrity or honesty. I found it interesting this Golden Eagle is found in many more states, not just the southwest To illustrate just how aggressive and brazen this bird can be and eating their prey while it is still alive is astonishing. If your wondering why the Antelope dosen't run or do something to get away, this poor Antelope is in total shock, and shock effects people or animals differently, as in this case it made the Antelope inmobile to move. (I did this post some time ago and it is so amazing I'll put it in again, as this is one dude who will never go hungry). I'm sure when were thinking of predators were most likely thinking of coyote, wolf, and mountain lion. Here's another predator who is probably the most proficient hunter of them all, the 'Golden Eagle' found in the Southwest and in mountain areas. The Golden Eagle can have a wing span between 7 to 8 feet. He will weigh between 14 to 16 pounds. But here's the real kicker... he can carry (in flight) 3 times his own weight. So it's possible that he can carry close to 50 pounds. The Golden Eagle preys on the yearlings in the Southwest mountain areas for whitetail deer, goat, and sheep. The Golden Eagle is a pretty smart dude, if he finds a mature sheep or goat in a disadvantaged position high on a mountain side or cliff type area, he can easily knock this animal off letting it fall to it's death upon hitting the ground. The Golden Eagle is only slightly larger than the American Bald Eagle. The main difference is that the Golden Eagle is a much more aggressive bird with a nasty disposition and fearless. The Southwest Indians were always weary of this bird as it could come down and pick up small children if they were not attended. I've seen them in Arizona when hunting Pronghorn and in the southeastern part of the Mojave Desert. In my area their favorite would be the desert coyote which weigh between 30 to 35 pounds. This is about a seven minute video of some very amazing footage. This video was taped in the high mountains of Mexico, and narrated in Spanish. The Preacher (Clint Eastwood) carries a Remington 1858 New Army with a cartridge conversion as his sidearm in the film, and carries several pre-loaded cyclinders to use like a modern speed loader. The 1858 'New Army' six-shooter was actually considered far superior compared to Colt and Smith & Wesson. It was a better quality and more accurate shooter. The problem Remington had with this model was to little and to late as much of the government contracting went to other sources. Remington 1858 New Army. The Fiscal Cliff will remain with us throughout this administration. On one hand, Obama wants to spend $1.7 Trillion more on top of what the government has spent the past four years. Obama wants to make major cuts in Medicare, yet not take any cuts in entitlements. Entitlements, that played a large part in Obama winning re-election. Giving the lazy more benefits. As if Welfare recipients don't have it good already, he wants to give them more. Obama has put more people on Food Stamps and Welfare than any President in the past thirty years or so. He gives free cell phones away. He allows illegal immigrants to stay and take advantage of our nation (taxpayer). He literally bought votes and is still buying votes. We need to put welfare recipients to work and take drug tests before they get any money. Our whole country needs a serious overhaul and take back our country from China. It's obvious Washington isn't fixing anything. The President is a wothless Socialist politician. We need to fire the lawyers in Washington and put them in the unemployment lines, then fill all those empty seats in Washington with people who will actually do something and work together to make our country great and respected once again.

Hunting Rifle Accuracy & Bullet Stabilization, Yaw Vs Pitch.
mortensen replied to mortensen's topic in Deer Hunting
Thanks for your comments dbHunter. I have 2 Savage 10FP's, one for bench and one for varmint. I didn't notice any significant change from 100 to 200 yards with my bench as I'm reloading a 68 gr Hornady Match and H-335 minimum charge. I did notice a significant change in groupings with my Varmint 70 gr GameKing, maximum charge at 200 yards. It's just dependent on many considerations. However, I would tend to agree with you, the .223 will more likely stabilize at 200 yards, more times than not. -
ACT has posted a set of statistics that demonstrates the real violence against Muslims, it is not Jews, Christians, or even America that is leading the pack in Muslim Genocide, but rather other Muslims. These numbers (almost 10 million killed by other Muslims) defy rationality and surely anyone can see where the real problem lies. Islam may or may not be a peaceful religion, but the people who dominate the religion and are the face that the world sees as representation of the religion, surely are far from peaceful. "Some 11,000,000 Muslims have been violently killed since 1948, of which 35,000, or 0.3 percent, died during the sixty years of fighting Israel, or just 1 out of every 315 Muslim fatalities. In contrast, over 90 percent over 11 million who perished were killed by fellow Muslims." MUSLIMS KILLING MUSLIMS IN THE NAME OF JIHAD: By Norman Berdichevsky, June 2, 2010 A few days ago, one of the most violent incidents involving the slaughter of innocent civilians took place in Lahore and several kilometers away in Garhi Shahu, Pakistan. There has been essentially no media interest, such as on-the-spot coverage or interviews with survivors. The victims were all Ahmadis, a 'deviant' sect within Islam. Ahmadis comprise the sect that is distinguished as being the most peaceful; they have always lived in peace with their neighbors, both Muslim and non-Muslim. The Ahmadis were attacked by "mainstream" Muslims who are sympathizers of the Taliban and al-Qaeda in Pakistan. These Muslims attacked the two Ahmadi mosques packed with hundreds of worshipers. At least eighty people were killed. The assults in Lahore were carried out by at least seven men, including three suicide bombers. Some of the attackers acted as snipers from an adjacent mosque to kill their fellow Muslims. Ahmadis are reviled as heretics by mainstream Muslims for their belief that their sect's founder was a savior foretold by the Quran, Islam's holy book. The group has experienced years of state-sanctioned discrimination and occasional attacks in Pakistan, but never before in such a large and coordinated fashion. Not one reputable, representative, acknowledged Muslim religious leader anywhere has seen fit so far to issue a condemnation of the attack. Not one media commentary anywhere (except in Israel) saw fit to mention that the only place within the Middle East where Ahmadis live in peace and harmony with their neighbors and enjoy full civil and religious rights in Israel. The range I belong to is only 100 yards. Will 100 yards give you an accurate assessment of the bullet being stabilized in flight? Most likely it could on caliber's up to .223 (5.56), but would also be dependent on other considerations such a bullet, powder, powder charge, twist rate, barrel length, etc. Larger calibers would require a minimum of 200 yards for bullet stabilization. Living in the Mojave Desert we have shooting recreational areas, so I usually go there and set targets up at 200 and 300 yards (600 to 1000 yards, if you wish to.) Most of us know that bullets don't fly in a straight line. However, they don't exactly fly in a symmetrical ark either. This video shows the direction that a bullet is pointing (yaw & pitch) as it flies down range. You can see how long it takes a bullet to stabilize in flight. As the bullet gets farther away, its flight settles down and the bullet path becomes more consistent. This explains how your rifle might well be able to shoot one MOA groups at 100 yards, and then shoot half MOA groups at 600 yards using the exact same ammunition. This is quite common, because bullet flight will usually stabilize at 200 yards or beyond. Anytime a bullet enters (or exits) the speed of sound, its path becomes unstable and accuracy will suffer. When exactly God created angels is open for debate, but what is known for sure is that God created everything good because God, in his holiness, cannot create something sinful. So when Satan, who was once the angel Lucifer, rebelled against God and fell from heaven (Isaiah 14; Ezekiel 28), one third of the angelic host joined his insurrection (Revelation 12:3-4,9). There is no doubt these fallen angels are now known as the demons. We know that **** was prepared for the devil and his angels, according to Matthew 25:41: "Then He will say to those on His left, 'Depart from me, you are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.'" From these and similar verses. it is clear that demons and fallen angels are synonymous. Remember that an angel is a messenger and that the Bible defines two groups of angelic messengers: the good and the evil. We have seen how God's heavenly messengers obey His commands and minister for us - the heirs of salvation. Evil angels, however, are those who have fallen from their first estate (see Jude 1:6) since the Creation. The Bible records several different times when angels fell to earth. Some have already fallen (Genesis 6:2; Amos 5:26; Revelation 12L4) and some will fall in the future (Revelation 6:13, 8:10-11, 9:1). It is Satan, the great dragon, who entices them (Revelation 12:4), perhaps with promises that they will be worshipped by men as gods or rule over an earthly kingdom. Fallen angels learn wickedness and become apprentices of their new master Satan. Unlike humans, fallen angels cannot be redeemed. Once angels rebel against God, they are permanently banned from God's glory and presence. Some fallen angels are currently imprisoned until God's day of judgement (I Peter 3:19020; II Peter 2:4; Jude 1:6), and some rule the realm of darkness with Satan. They, too, will face the wrath of God (Matthew 25:41). While there is no verse that says a "third of the angels fell from heaven." some verses when put together, lead us to that conclusion. Sometime after their creation, and most certainly after the sixth day when everything was declared "very good" (Genesis 1:31), Satan rebelled and was cast out of heaven. "How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!" (Isaiah 14:12). When Lucifer sinned, Jesus said, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven" (Luke 10:18), and in the book of the Revelation Satan seen as "a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth" (Revelation 9:1). We are also told that one third of an "innumerable company of angels" (Hebrews 12:22) chose to rebel with him. John saw this great wonder in heaven, "...an enormous red dragon... His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth... the great dragon was hurled down - that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him" (Revelation 12:3-9). Since Satan is referred to as a star which fell or was cast down to earth, and Revelation 12:4 says a third of the stars were cast out with him, then the conclusion is that the stars in Revelation 12 refer to fallen angels, fully one third of the heavenly host. If the one third number is in fact accurate, what assurance that is! Two thirds of the angels are still on God's side, and for followers of Christ, they are on our side as well. BIBLE CONCORDANCE: 93 Bible Verses about Fallen Angels. What Does the Bible Say About Fallen Angels? "If human minds were able to interpret the Bible correctly, there would be unity and agreement among Christians about what the Bible Teaches."
