  1. Will be shooting 29" draw length with 65-70 pound pull.
  2. Hey, guys...got some great feedback on my last question about choosing a re-entry bow. Now I need help choosing arrows. It has been a long time since I bought arrows and the game has changed so much, I am sort of wondering which way to go. I am not sure what length to get and what spine to get, etc. I just want good, sturdy arrows that I can hunt and practice with. Any help you can give on choosing the right ones will be appreciated.
  3. Hey, thanks again for all the input. I am looking around now and trying to find one that I like. If I can hurry, maybe the wife will get it for me for Christmas...I may not get to hunt much this year with it, but at least I can start shooting and practicing and be ready when the fall comes back around. There were some very good tips on here and good ideas to think about. I appreciate it...going to take my son out tomorrow and see if we can get him is first buck...he took another doe last weekend, so maybe something with bone on its head will step out this week. We finally have had a few cold days here in Georgia, so we will see what that does for the deer movement.
  4. Thanks Thanks for the replies. I had already pretty much figured out to stay away from the big stores. The people in their "archery" departments usually are more knowledgeable about ipods than bows and archery tackle. I am not looking to necessarily sink a bundle of money into a bow right now, but am looking to ease back into it and find a good solid bow to get me going. I have some good friends in the outdoor industry that will be able to help me get it set up and tuned, so I just want to choose the right one. It is also going to have to be smooth to draw. My shoulder is not in the best shape after about 50,000 batting practice pitches a season over the last few years. If any of you come across any good articles on choosing a bow, post them for me. I am new to the forum and will be checking back regularly.
  5. I am getting back into bow hunting in my mid-40's after a number of years.and am looking to buy a new bow. Can anyone give me suggestions on what would be a good, fast, forgiving bow to get back into it?
