  7. Well it was a quick season here for me in Ontario and i really didnt expect to tag out this quick with the bird numbers being way down here in the past three years but I was lucky enough to have a property that held a couple for me... Here is my couple of birds..the first one was killed on opening day April 25th 17 lbs 6 3/4 inch beard Matching 1 inch spurs Second on May 4th as I called this gobbler downhill right into my setup and the buckwing bobblehead decoy worked to perfection on both birds.. 19 lbs 9 1/2 beard 1 inch spurs Perry in Ontario
  8. Finally got the chance with the help of a friend to get this thing done.I killed this bird a couple of years ago.It was a friend of mines idea that he would run the camera and I would do the shooting. This was his first time with the camera and everything came together that beautful morning.I did the calling with a slate. This bird was out there were guessing 300 yards with another Gobbler and a few hens but when he decided he was coming to my call it took him 5 mins to get up the field. You wont see or hear me call as I when he decided to head my way I put the call down and got in position with the gun for the shot! I hope you like it as much as I liked pulling the trigger Perry
  9. Thanks for your reply! Im in the Barrie area thats south a couple of hours of Algonquin park!
  10. Just out of Curiousity! Just wondering with me up here in Ontario Canada where would be the closest place in the states for me to go to hunt a different species of turkey other than the Eastern.I have hunted and killed easterns here in Ontario.I had this conversation with a friend here in Ontario that has completed the slam just the other day.I beleive he told me that hunting a merimams in South Dakota maybe the next closest place for me to get my next bird.(I could be wrong).Just wondering what everyones thoughts would be on this?Im sure that someone would take me out on a hunt if I could get in contact with the right person. What are my Options?Im not much on Driving down to hunt.I also know that the Florida hunt would be the most expensive.I can wait til a few years down the road for that one.I wouldnt mind either of the other 2 species.Im not sure also what a guided hunt for a merimans or a Rio would cost me? Just throwing this out there to see the different options.I would love to for it to be in 2011 but I have a bear hunting trip to plan for this coming fall! Thanks Perry
