  1. 158-5/8" South Georgia. Not sure about the 8 pointer in my avatar...still at the taxidermy from this year.
  2. Very Cool Monster Buck! I have a buddy that had an accident too. Same situation chest down with biceps and no triceps. He has been in a chair more than 25 years. We have toyed with a lots of hunting racks from drawer slides to you name it... I can't really tell what your set-up is like. My buddy lives in another state now but I can get some pics of his latest setup and forward them to you. It's not hard to make and gives you full movement radially. PM me and we will get into it a little deeper if your interested... Congrats on the deer! It's great that you haven't lost the passion and still pursue the sport.
  3. Holy Cow Crew999, Your wife's wait for the right deer sure paid off! That deer is a monster. They don't grow them like that in the Southeast US. Where were you guys hunting? That looks like a deer really close to the border if not from Canada. Awesome deer... body looks more like a cross between a deer and a bovine. Congrats on that one!
  4. Any sharp Cut on Contact head will do the job. I've been using Sonic by American Broadhead Company for a while. They work well and are really cheap.
  5. 223 cal is deadly with a neck shot... My only issue is figuring out where to source the extra taxidermy funds and worrying about running out of wall space...LOL :gun1:
  6. Biggest 8 point for meHere is a 13 point double drop tine on the wall that has a great story behind it and is a nice trophy... But, the 8 pointer I got this year is a big deer for a southeast harvest, and is the biggest 8 point I've seen. He weighed 225lbs with nice mass, tine length , and spread (24" outside and 21 1/2" inside spread). I'm not sure of the official score yet but he is a stud to me.
