  1. Good deal...no more shadow seeing for him:cowboy:
  2. Been following this post closely....have always said for myself..to match bullet weight, with body weight...we dont have the luxury of big bodied deer in Texas...the 22 to 25 calibers are great here...I hunt exclusively with my swift..never had a critter take a step..period..with that being said...we are shooting a lot smaller animals than most of you are....we have guys down here shooting 300 ultras....at 120 lb whitetails..the bullet is zipping them..not opening up..and they are running..haha...I just cannot explain it to them...not enough body weight to make the bullet perform properly...I am jealous of you fellas trying to decide on a big caliber..ha...but you also have big game...and my .02 worth..that old 300 Weatherby is still a bad cat...but none of us has ever killed a deer..that was carrying a ballistic chart with him..good luck on your choice
  3. Close...ha.....man talking about not knowing what hit ya...whoa
  4. Ouch....what bullet...wasnt that little 58gr screamer was it?
  5. Thank You...am hunting same area...cheap lightweight pop ups..or out of truck mounted shooting rack for bigger areas...sometimes i like to get in the woods with them...depending on time of day...and weather...we do alot of 24 hour tournaments in this area also...alot of critters
  6. Set up in same area Sat night...got two dogs....3 grays..and 3 bobcats...cant figure out how to post pictures?
  7. Guys did a quick set up Wed evening...had my game caller about 100 yds out, and my woodpecker decoy on a stake in the ground..got in my blind, turned on my caller...looked on the ground to pick up my shooting stix..looked up and there was a coyote about 20ft from my decoy..i froze..and he disappeared..well i got a little irritated because he left so quickly...got all situated..and all of the sudden he broke out of the brush..grabbed my decoy..and was off to the races...well he only raced about 50 yds and the swift turned this would be theif to mush...moral of the story...always have your decoys securely tied down...because they can disappear rather quickly..ha:jaw:
  8. Burris Black Diamond...good piece of glass
  9. 220 Swift in Sendero..handloaded 52 gr Sierra BTHP.....51 lbs..weighed during a varmint tournament
