  1. AN OLD TURKEY HUNTER’S MUSINGS...
  2. You are correct we are ok, with the cool shades on
  3. Familiar with the passage, if you read in context you would also call out that it was in disdain of honoring and praising other pagan gods, gods of the dead, The undead, etc. At that time there was rituals as such. My "art" on the other hand (some of which you don't see here such as a entire back piece) honors my wife, my family, and honor/respect for god's creatures which we are all so found of. Leviticus 19:28 is commonly taken out of context [quote= This is why; ~Leviticus 19:28 28: You shall not make any cuts on your body for the dead or tattoo yourselves: I am the Lord. Bash me if you need to..Guess I'm not into it..sorry....lol You won't find me bashing you, as religious beliefs are deeply held by many,as I have mine. Treating others well even at times if difficult is not a bad way to be. Lot of people don't care , dislike, or even hate skin art, and it's an opinion. I happen to love well done tattoos, not a big fan of scratchers, poor work, poor designs. Even then it is still an opinion
  4. For those of you, into ink, art,and all things deer and turkey. Mostly lower arm on both sides as artist was looking to capture recent work. Turkey sleeve is done, healed. the deer sleeve is 85-90% complete and with fresh arrows on back tricep, and newly inked deer tracks which are very angry and read (soft spot on the arm, and puffs right up when inked) this was done by four different artists @ Ascend Gallery in Cortland, NY, the upper arm pieces not shown here are done by Scot Clark and appear elsewhere in prior posts.
  5. Here's an old school rendition of a turkey spur. Super happy with it, very timely for tomorrow. — created byseverely oppressed apprentice@ Ascend Gallery- Christopher MacDonald
  6. cool, I remember how much searching i did looking for ideas and or what could be done as a starting point. I was stoked when I found something that was even close to what I was trying to get done. So much easier to show your artist "I would like something like this, take this, add/delete, and do in a certain style, or part of this"
  7. Wild Turkey Full Arm Sleeve Tattoo Turkey Sleeve Project is nearly all healed up. A few more touch ups to be done. Decided to give it a little more finished look by adding a little old school touches tying everything all together on upper part of the turkey sleeve. Scot Clark (pinpoint tattoo) did the strutting gobbler, From Ascend Gallery, Sean Price did the new school turkey skull & the ghost gobbler. Adam Golden did the Weims, flying turkeys, and dogwood flowers,Josh Payne did the gentleman gobbler (upper inside bicep), gobbler head, stone turkey tracks, and all the glue tying it all together. Thanks to everyone for the great experience putting this together, and especially Josh for making it look like a grand plan. http://www.turkey-talk.com/tblog/?p=65&fb_action_ids=10152322244637419&fb_action_types=news.publishes&fb_ref=pub-image&fb_source=og_timeline_photo_robotext
  8. Right arm is all turkey theme, about 2/3 done, will finish that project this fall. May finish out left arm with more deer theme pieces
  9. it is a Mexican festive theme, typical of sugar skulls/day of the dead themes.
  10. Great area to hunt, I started out hunting the state land to the east of the lake
  11. Added color to finish up this inner bicep tattoo. Done by Scot Clark @ Pinpoint Tattoo in Marathon, NY. Still a little angry swelling, and will settle in a day or so. Super happy with this piece
  12. Here's a better pic all healed up, with some arm for perspective:)
  13. no room left on my arm for something that big, right arm is being finished out as a turkey theme sleeve
