  1. Big Dog stands are very fairly priced and are great quality. You can get a stand and set of climbing sticks for about $100.
  2. Food is oak trees scattered throughout, most big trees were harvested on the north and south side. The west side is steep and covered in pines that are low to the ground and offer great cover. There is an apple orchard to the right side of the "L" shaped field and also across Barber Rd to the East. There is also a small pond in the SW corner and several springs on the West side of Barber Rd near the 90 degree right turn. Thanks for your scouting input and I hope some day to not have to ask about this HAHA. Will let everyone know how well it goes.
  3. In the attached picture is the new property I got permission to hunt. The orange dot is where there is known deer traffic but seeing how I wont be able to scout much before season I'm looking for some help on locating other possible locations either for a stand or blind. The southern half of this land was logged about 3 years ago, and the northern was logged about 5 or 6 years ago. The fields are overgrown and there are no crops or food plots planted. I hunted this land twice in May for turkey but didn't get much deer scouting done. Im not good at reading maps to find funnels or anything like that. Keep in mind this land is in Western New York if that makes a difference. Property boundaries are the white roads, I can hunt everything inside the road loop.
  4. BAss Pro has a nice day pack for $20, I picked one up a few years ago and its great with lots of room. It also has the attachment loops to add accessories to it. Snacks I eat gronala bars and drink water or gatorade. Sometimes an apple and sandwich, just depends on how long Im out there.
  5. Check out Big Dog stands, they have several different styles and are very resonable priced as well. Also I just bought a Summit Viper Classic for $189, it's a climber andhas come very highly recommended for its comfort and ease of use.
  6. BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO's, and won't ever change. Tires lasted me 3 years with no issues and never failed in the mud, snow, and ice. I've had 2 sets since I bought my truck and will continue to buy despite being a wallet breaker.
  7. I'm with Shaun_300 and Can Am Outlander 500. I have a 07 and it has more power and keeps up with the big boys. Some consider it hard on the wallet, but in my opinion you get what you pay for. Well worth the investment.
  8. Guess I'll take it to the GM garage and see what they can do.
  9. I have an issue, my ABS and Park brake lights came on in my 06 silverado and wont reset. Also the cruise control doesnt work now. I checked all the fuses and none are blow. Took to the local garage and their computer says no module found..... any idea what to do short of buying a new module? I haven't been having any issues with anything until I wired up some lights, but I tied that into the positive battery auxillary block (red box under hood) and didnt do anything with the main electrical system or any fuses anywhere. What do you all think?
  10. Thats a whopper!!!!! Guess I wont have to travel all the way to the Mid West to hunt trophies.
  11. Looking for a Bi-pod to outfit my Handi Rifle with, want one that can be used for shooting while sitting for use hunting yotes. Has to pivot and possible rotate.... anybody have and recommendations?
