On my land in the west we got a pack of coyotes giving us trouble. Rumor has it they may be mixed with domestic dogs. Rifle or shotgun?:toot:

Jammed Air Rifle and a New Target Box
RainbowTroutHoney replied to RainbowTroutHoney's topic in Hunting Equipment
Need to find the time to try and unjam it. Tried empyting it but its jammed pretty good. Maybe you're right about tilting it I didn't try that as much -
I have a Red Ryder air rifle from Daisy and its been jammed for awhile now. I brought a gun cleaning kit and could use some advice. If i clean the air rifle and fire it in a safe direction should it unjam or is there a more efficient way to unjam my prized air rifle? Any advice is great.

ATC , Jeep or Truck?
RainbowTroutHoney replied to RainbowTroutHoney's topic in Vehicles and Hunting Transportation
Great ideas everyone. By the sound of it it looks like I'll need to start saving if I seriously want to hunt deeper or like alot of you said hunt in the fields by stand after walking there. -
I want to do some serious hunting and fishing in the upcoming year. I'm trying to decide which of the three would be best to get deeper in the forest and bush. Which do you prefer or which one are you using?

Hm never thought of hunting groundhogs before. You do learn something everyday. I'm new to hunting besides what I see on tv or read in magizenes. How would you go about hunting a groundhog that spends so much time underground? That sounds both exciting and a bit tricky at the same time. -
How do I open my own outdoor store?
RainbowTroutHoney replied to RainbowTroutHoney's topic in The Realtree Pro Staff Room
I'm talking with a few businesses like mines to weigh the pros and cons. Once I've decided between a store online ore offline I'll begin the process of setting up a website AFTER studying the laws and regulations with an online business. -
Its the decade of recalls!
RainbowTroutHoney replied to RainbowTroutHoney's topic in Hunting Equipment
The article says some pros even are ctahcing their milits in 25 minutes of fishing. Someone caught seven fish in like ten minutes or less. All I've heard is this thing is beating up the other lures. -

Thank you very much for the advice! Wonderful quote by the way. I hope I'll be lucky enough to do the same after college. Boy am I glad my momma raised me with some good old common sense and some actual manners! -
Its the decade of recalls!
RainbowTroutHoney replied to RainbowTroutHoney's topic in Hunting Equipment
The bait is called the new Bite Light. This is directly from the article in Outdoor Life: "The breakthrougg is a tiny, battery-powered electrical system that flashes a blood-red light down a lure's tail when its moved through the water." "The new techonolgy is so effective one state, Wyoming, has banned its use." Its a huge breakthrough and argument in the fishing world because many feel tha the bait is working far too well and gives fisherman too much of an advantage over the fish. -

Who better to ask than the pros? -
I've been reading all about the new recalls. From guns to food to our stoves for god's sake! I swear technology is getting more dangerous . . . Then we have some products like the new blinking red diving bait that is working too well! One state even banned its use period. Am I the only one that feels we need to go back to the good old days of John Wayne and Kirk Douglas? You know when you confronted your enemy and not some stupid email fight on facebook or whatever lame social network of your choice. :argue:

How do I open my own hunting store? I would like a very general idea of what paperwork, safety regulations and permits I would need to own and operate my own outdoor store. Thanks if you can!

I just got a Daisy air rifle model 1938B 4.5mm Red Ryder for Christmas. Sadly its been a pickle getting unjammed. I'm all geared up for hunting season and I want to try a few recipes I've found in a few hunting magizenes. Anyone else out there looking forward to the new season and cleaning up your weapon of choice?

About 5'5" is my height.

I wear a size ten and it is so hard finding hunting shoes under one hundred dollars in Realree AP. All shoes in my size are hard to find. Does anyone know a few stores or a store where a girl can get some hunting shoes with my kind of budget? :bang:

It is hard to find women's clothing on slae in department stores. I wish that Cabelas was closer to me or Bass Pro Shop. The lack of hunting and fishing shops is driving me crazy!

Better safe than sorry as I always tell myself. Amen to staying out of trouble. You stay out of it more often than out it'll stay away from you.

I just got into hunting last year. I'm almost twenty so I'm not so young but I still want a good bow. I read the books, magizenes and watch all the shows to get a real good idea about the bows out in 2012 and the bows from last year. Draw length and poundage no idea. I'll have to talk to an expert to find out.
-
I sure hope so. I haven't found one around me yet . . . looks like I got to google it. Good point if my bow isn't fittest right the lack of balance means my whole shot will be angled way off. Being hooked on bowhunting is alot better than getting into trouble.

Smallmouth bass, pike, walleye and rainbow trout fishing
RainbowTroutHoney posted a topic in Fishing
I plan to do some serious fishing over spring break. I'm lock and loaded with plenty of bait and a few tricks I wanted to test out. Does anyone have a techinque or favorite bait they use? I'm not as brand with fishing gear as I am with hunting so I would love to experiment. Also this is my first time catching any of these fishes so stories or advice is welcomed. Thanks!:robot: -
I would like to take up bowhunting but I need a bow. I am willing to pay up to 350 dollars for a bow either a Bear, Elite or Matthews. Any suggestions on bows around that range that would be a good start for an inexperienced bowhunter? :chat:
