I'm hunting in central Texas it been pretty warm here. Right now it seems the deer are having a field day with the acorns on the ground. Last few weekend haven't produced anything. The grunts don't seem to work either

Any advice on how to tackle a late season buck? I rifle hunt and our season ends on the 6th of Jan.

So when the hunt season is slow or you just feel like fishing what kind of fish do you go for and what advice do have to catch them?
