  1. Here's an odd request I'm getting married in less than two months and my future sister in law and my sisters teamed up to get my future wife a full set of "bedroom camo and orange" lol. This site has a few things in that department including this blaze thong http://store.mossyoak.com/detail.aspx?ID=97
  2. Bachelor Party Hunt Suggestions Needed Ok all so I've been researching a bunch of different places since I posted this and here's where I'm at. First of all I appreciate all the suggestions. There wasn't one on there that I didn't look into. As of now I'm leaning towards a place in Georgia called "HOG SWAT". Everything about it sounds like a blast and price wise it seems reasonable. Anybody have any background on this? I'm looking into getting my GA license today and then have to round up the troops to do the same but I always like getting some info from someone who may know something about it before I go all in.
  3. Bachelor Party Hunt Suggestions Needed No no. The booze is used to wash down the food that the guns kill.
  4. Crossbow Popularity Here in NJ crossbows used to be legal only for people with physical disabilities that couldn't draw a legal bow. This year they lifted the stipulation and legalized crossbows across the board. Talk about a spike in popularity lol. Everybody is buying them here just because you can now. It's definitely crowding up the woods and I agree with what a lot of you said about it allowing for laziness, but on the other hand it got my little sister hunting bow season who can't draw a legal bow for sheer lack of upper body strength. It has its ups and downs but overall I like them.
  5. Bachelor Party Hunt Suggestions Needed Thanks everyone! Looks like its unanimous on the hogs lol now I just have to find a place to do it.
  6. Bachelor Party Hunt Suggestions Needed Definitely like the sound of that! I've hog hunted in SC when I lived down there and loved it. That's a strong option. Thanks
  7. Hi All, I'm getting married December of this year and while I know my friends are all planning the usual paintball then strip club thing for my bachelor party, I really want to do something bigger. I would love to go somewhere I've never been, with a small group of my closest guys and hunt. Doesn't necessarily have to be something exotic but something I'll always look back and say,"damn I'm glad I did that". Anybody have any suggestions of a place that organizes these kind of out of state hunts? I'm located in NJ and primarily hunt whitetail(bow) and waterfowl, but I'm open to anything really.
  8. Finally pistol owner in NY! I'm in NJ and we have a lengthy process to get a state ID card to buy any firearm, even a shotgun. CCP is practically impossible. I lived in SC for a long time and was used to the laws there. It's been very tough adapting to this here.
  9. Couldn't have said it better. Well done Blade!
  10. It's Officially Hunting Season We opened yesterday here in NJ as well. Saw quite a bit of movement early in the morning but nothing in range. Then the afternoon hunt was really quite. Me and the two guys I'm with are back out in a few minutes with a few adjustments. Hopefully I'll be back on here this afternoon posting some pics with our new antlered friends.
  11. Our 16 x 24' northern NY cabin Wow I don't even know where to begin. From the craftsmanship to the functionality that place has it all. Nicely done, I mean really impressive.
  12. Newbie here Well let me try to respond to as many as I can remember. First off I'm technically from NJ however spent most of my adult life in SC (back in NJ now though). As for my bow, I was shopping a lot and naturally was caught up in the Matthews, Bowtech, Hoyt debate but ended up getting a steal on a used Diamond Rapture. Got, it, a hard case, two quivers, glove style release and a handful of other accessories plus a half dozen carbon arrows with muzzy broad heads all for $150. Figured it was a good place to start and I'll build towards the better stuff as I grow in the sport. So far I absolutely love it. Mathews XT man, that was hilarious and Ultradog, I love football lol. To all the rest, thanks for the warm welcome and I look forward to picking all your brains for a ton of info in the future.
  13. Newbie here I would definitely agree with that and thanks for the welcome. I've found answers to questions I hadn't even thought to ask yet lol.
  14. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new here to the forums and fairly new to hunting also. This will be my first year hunting deer although I have a little experience hunting hog and turkey. I've been doing a little waterfowl hunting too but I'm really looking forward to getting into the stand with my bow and hopefully getting some venison in the freezer this year. That said I welcome any and all tips, pointers, comments, or criticism that can help me along the way. I've been finding a lot of great info here on this forum and look forward to finding more. Thanks all!
