  1. Lose the weight now man. I went in for my annual physical and found out I am now a Type 2 diabetic. At least I do not have to be on insulin. Oral medication, diet, and exercise. Tough part is I am out of work while my meds get straightened out. Unpaid leave for a month, then I need a waiver to go back to work. I am young enough to make the change and cure it, but I have to battle now.
  2. You could go with Dead Coyote if you have some money to spend. I would personally use either 00 Buck or #4 Buck. If you are going to use steel shot you better get up close and personal, like inside 20 yards. Pattern your gun and see what chokes work with what loads at certain yardages. If you are just going out to sling some lead I would use 00 Buck with a full choke on a regular/field barrel. Don't go using large shot size through a tight choke, like turkey. The pellets will bounce off each other and scatter.
  3. Thanks for the tips. I am going out early Saturday morning and will keep it loud on the field edges and reduce it when I get one coming on a rope. I know in the heavy timber I have to turn it up so the sound will travel. I am just always worried that I go in there and blow their eardrums out. What's the worst that could happen? I still get blanked? I will let you know how this weekend goes. Call 'em in. Cut 'em down.
  4. So I got into predators last year when I wanted to extend my hunting season. I live in Western New York, heavy woods with some small open fields. I have seen foxes during deer season and coyote sign on some of my property. I bought a Primos Turbo Dog and have been trying to hunt the hunters. I do not know how loud I should I have it set. It has settings from 1-100 and I have tried blasting away around 80 on the field edges and quieted down to 25-30 for in the woods. I know my camo and scent control is on point. Just wondering where to put the volume for best results? Thanks Call 'em in, cut 'em down.
