Softbones

Hey guys my dad hunts and he wants to cut ribs but mentioned that he needs a band saw. He uses ryobi tools so I was looking at getting a battery one that matches but not sure if it would do the job. Would a small table band saw be best? I'm not the most knowledgeable in this area but I know enough to keep up. Any help is appreciated.
