    I have learned that the mangled piece is called a Cartridge Stop. That variation came out in 1947, so the rifle is about that age... 75. The Stop looks like it was made from stamped metal. I ordered a replacement, but it appears too long. I suppose it still requires a few bends to make it work. Any suggestions?

    I inherited my Dad's 80-100 year old Marlin lever action 22, model 39A. One mangled piece needs to be replaced: it is 2 3/16" long x 3/16" wide, with a hole at one end. I haven't yet found it in any schematic so that I can order it. Any suggestions appreciated. Thx!
