fly
Cabela's had a deal I couldn't pass up. Bought a Traditions Timber Ridge 50 cal for 89.00! Yea 89.00 for a new ML! Then bought a Cabela's Alpha series 2X12X40 scope with 4 inch eye relief for 79.00 (normally priced at 150.00). After rings the set up cost me $199.00. My 8 year old gets to see it for the first time tonight. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's a shooter! Will post a picture later. I wanted the Nikon Prostaff 3X9X40 with the Nikoplex reticle for $99.00, but it was not in stock. I was pretty upset about it since I called before going over there and the guy said he had a bunch of them. Cablea's also informed me on the phone they would honor online bargain cave prices. Then when I got to the register they said no. Well, after some hard looks and a snarl customer service said they would honor the sale price this one time only. It worked out, but next time I'll be getting the name of who I speak to on the phone. If anyone uses one or both of these I'd love to hear how you like them or any tips. wtnhunt
Sounds like a real good deal there, been needing to add another ml'er to our arsenal, one of these days. You are gonna have fun working the loads up with him on that Frank. Should not be too tough to find something that works well. Hope it serves him well. LETMGROW
I have never shot that particular gun, but we have no less than 6 Traditions MZ in our family. All are good shooters. We play a lot and are competitive amongst each other. I won't reveal my favorite load, but you will discover it, if you experiment a bit. What better way to educate a youngster. Congratulations to you and your son. Here is hoping you share many years of shooting together. Lynn
