Snow in hawaii is not terribly uncommon beleive it or not. It's also the only US state that grows coffee.
gzilla45
This is a cool map. Would I be correct to assume the darker the color the more snow there is?
Guest TennesseeTurkey
It looks like the entire state of Tennessee is covered in snow.... Nebraska and states north of Nebraska are completed covered too (which may not be uncommon)
The Bug House
This is a cool map. Would I be correct to assume the darker the color the more snow there is? Seems that way, this must be compiled from satelitte images, perhaps some averaging of local measurments. I didn't see what time frame it represents. Ive never been to Hawaii I dont know if they have a mountain that can get snow or not... out of the website with the map After big snow and ice events in the Southeast, Plains, and Midwest this week, 49 out of the 50 states currently have snow on the ground – yes, even Hawaii, where snow falls in Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea all winter.
