92xj
I'm going camping for a couple of days, leaving work early today. Lot's of bbq and fishing in my near future. Nice! I'm headed up to the cabin today after work. Going to try and take off the backhoe attachment to the tractor tomorrow morning. 3500 lbs of awkwardness, hopefully I can do it by myself. If that comes off and all is well, I will be hooking the disc up and breaking ground. Got a lot of planting I need to do. Snow just melted, and the ground has dried to a point where I shouldnt screw up to much with the tractor. Hope for the best.

Dunno about disconnecting the backhoe how or if it might compare to disconnecting a loader, but the hydraulics are a huge help with a loader, moreso with connecting than with disconnecting. Level firm ground helps. Would assume the same should hold for a backhoe.

92xj
Pics of said cabin please. 2 weeks ago I'm moving to Colorado this summer. Congrats! Im hoping, I can break some ground this weekend and get some good soil samples to get tested. Then go from there. Im thinking I am going to try some sort of pea/bean maybe some corn, alfalfa and some sort of summer blend. I will have irrigation at random spots throughout the field. 92xj
Leaving work in an hour to head to the Oregon coast to chase Tuna, Salmon, and Cod for the next 4 days. Crabbin it in the evenings. Cant wait, should be a heck of a good weekend. Then two more weeks and I am sitting in a stand. Thank the Lord, this time of year has finally made it here. Cool Ben...I'm heading to the Mississippi coast tomorrow to fish a blue water tournament too. A friend of mine has the boat so I'm just one of the old fart anglers. We're going after Marlin, Dolphin, Wahoo, & Tuna. Should be a heck of a weekend for us too. I'll just be relaxing & enjoying an adult beverage or two in the evenings though.
