mortensen
This is a duel between two nasty critters. This video was taken in my back yard (Mojave Desert). And it appears it was shot on or near the Mojave Road (off-road) probably around 60 miles north-east of Barstow, CA. The Mojave rattler is one of the most poisonous snakes found in North America. In some 40 years of hunting, camping and photographing the desert, I've had to kill about 6 of these rattlers, and that was in self defense. This rattler is aggressive and does not back down. I always shoulder a hand-gun for such eventualities. If you have a cat or been around cats you know how fast their paws or arm movement can be, and how fast they can extend and contract their claws. It would appear in the video that the cat is pawing the snake, but his claws are extended and he's raking that snake and doing significant damage. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=f1a_1173344626 Edited January 15, 2011 by mortensen

huntnfish
Did not know a bobcat was quick enough to do that. Pretty cool.
