texastrophies
We started the demolition of a bridge today, and I took a few pictures of one of the beams falling down. I think it is a pretty cool sequence. This is a 5 span bridge and these pictures are of the 4th span as it is being dropped (or part of it anyways). Here we go. texastrophies
Like Steve said, tearing it down so we can rebuild it. We have 65 days to get it and the one going the opposite direction on the other side of the freeway back open to traffic. Making them a little bigger and also getting the columns out of the channel, so it will flow a little better.
mikebohio
i do the same type of work. although we do alot more repair than replacement. 65 days, you have your hands full. good luck buddy. great pics by the way, if you get tired of construction you could always get into photography lol
Turkeygirl
Wow, intense! Cool pics! 65 days? Wow....around this area, it takes them all summer to just to do a simple 2 lane country road bridge....

wtnhunt
Cool series of pics there Jeff. Sounds like a real challenge to get both complete in a little over 2 months. Wish I could get my hands on a trackhoe(but with a bucket) that size for about 2 weeks. Lots of damage I could do round here.

Jeramie
Its pretty amazing how fast you can take something down with a trackhoe. Even the small ones are amazingly handy....
