preacherman
Was wondering if anyone had an iPad and if so, what are the pros and cons of them?
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
I have had mine since April of last year. It's great. I don't think it will ever replace my laptop, but it's nice in case I want to travel light and still have most of the capabilities of of my laptop. I go out of town quite a bit, mostly to visit family around the state. I used to pack up my laptop and haul that around, but now unless I have work to do, I just grab the ipad. It does what they say it does. I check emails, surf the web, play games, watch movies. If you have used an iPod touch or iPhone, then you know there are a TON of apps for these devices. I'd say the only con there is the lack of flash support, but it really hasn't been as big of a deal as i thought it would. The update for these is coming up soon. Should be sometime in February that they announce it. The reports going around are that it will be a bit of a different design, possible front and rear facing camera, and a display upgrade. billkay
Don't really like mine. It makes my pix look great and seems to be a good way to present them for presentation but it is so finicky! You can not see flash based websites. You can not delete photos from your iPad gallery without syncing it. You can not rearrange photos in the gallery. There are a few of the problems I've encountered. There have been a few others but to a less aggravating degree. Plays music like an iPod, surfs the web, etc. Know what you want it for before buying it I guess. HUNTINGMAN
I looked at them and was thinking about getting one but decided against it. It is basically the same thing as my I phone 4,there's just not enough benefit of haveing one with the stuff it can do as compared to a laptop. unioncountyslayer
If you get one Scott, get the 3G/Wi-Fi. The advantage, unlike a laptop is you don't need wifi to connect to the internet. It also makes for a good sermon pad. My pastor uses his every Sunday. I love mine. preacherman
Mark, that is actually what I am thinking about using it for. I want something that I can carry notes to small group studies and such.
