H&R2
what is the lightest most compfortable and cheapest climbing tree stand you can buy in stores today ?
Stickslinger
The words lightest, most compfortable and cheap don't mix. The cheaper stands are almost always heavier, some are somewhat compfortable but not as compfortable at the higher priced ones. In my opinion, and this is just my opinion based on my experience, a Summit climbing stand is hard to beat. They offer a few different models to choose from to fit your needs, weight is not to bad for a two piece stand, price is not cheap but its not the most expensive either. I'm sure others will give you their opinions on other stands but this was just mine. Good luck with your choice Rodney
wtnhunt
Dunno about the lightest, but summit's are tough to beat for comfort.

GWSmith
What you can buy in stores is no match to what you can find online anymore. With resources like thefind.com you can find the least expensive in our area. There are others without storefronts(the sportsmans guide.com, etc...) you can compare whats availible in features and price to get what you need on the budget you have. Factoring in the shipping cost you can still find many of the stands less expensive than are availible at the local store...unless of course they are having an "After Season" sale where they are just trying to get rid of inventory and you luck out before someone buys them all. Here's just one of many examples I could give you of a good quality manufactured treestand at a decent price when purchased online: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/big-game-the-boss-lite-hang-on-tree-stand.aspx?a=686924
GWSmith
I dont believe you can match the savings in a local store that you can now find online. This would be the first stop I make when looking for a new climber: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/search/search.aspx?r=MainHeader+KW+Box&s=&a=browse&k=Climbing+Treestand
johnf
Can't beat summit for safety and comfort. The open shot is their lightest and cheapest. I use a viper and it's very comfortable.
swohiodave
you get what you pay for.....summit viper is the best all around IMO. Dicks sells field and stream brand climbers for a fair price but i do not know anything about them.

jcot2773
Summit isn't the cheapest but they are most certainly the most comfortable. They also are very light to be the size they are.
wild_willie
summit viper quiet & comfortable
wildthing
I have a few of them...Lone Wolf and Summit Viper....the Summit Viper is pretty economical and comfortable...not sure where you live...but if their is a Dicks Sporting Goods near you...usually you can pick one up for under $200 this time of the year since they are tying to unload hunting inventory. hungry hunter
Spent the entire season hunting out of my Summit Titan, I did not even take down my Sportsmans Guide (cheapest cost 79.00) or Treelounge (getting too old to tote it).
