Turkeygirl
Never ever sign up for anything with them...if you know what's good for you.:clown: Years ago, and I mean years ago, I think I signed up for something. At least once a year now, well twice this year, they call, bugging me about subscribing. I end up hanging up on them usually. :sleep1: Anyone else gotten called yet this year by them? Tominator
Not lately. I don't know what the magic words were, but I haven't heard from them in years.
wtnhunt
LMBO. Wife tried to enter something after I warned her not to. Think that was last year. Tried being nice with them the first several times they called and unfortunately ended up haivng to get kinda nasty with them the last time they called. They have not called back since, and NO she did not win.

KirkV
Ruth when they call you tell them this Quote " I am recording this conversation we are having and I want you to take me OFF of your call list... is that understood???" End Quote. No more calls will come from that point on or the lawyers can handle it from that point. Kirk

dogdoc
yep--i made that mistake. I did enjoy their magazine for a while but will never do any business with them due to their constant phone calls. I had one of their phone guys get pretty rude with me. I just said Thank You and hung up. Received another call 3 days later. Fortunately it comes up on my caller id and now i just pick up the phone and hang it right back down. Tominator
What kills me is that it must be a viable business practice, but I just have a tough time believing that.
Adjam5
Come on guys...your bashing another outdoorsman and hunter named Jackie Bushman. No bashing allowed here:D. There have been many threads about the aggressive marketing practices deployed by Buckmasters and their agents contracted to do so on this forum. Bushman has turned hunting into a multi million dollar industry for himself by making nothing and selling a name and magazine. People flock to him and subscribe all the time. It is how he keeps himself rolling in the dough. He has over commercialized the hunting industry IMO and appears to be taking advantage of the hunting world by literally spamming with phone calls.. I turn his show off faster than a crossbow hunt by Bill Busbice of Wild game innovations.
stevebeilgard
they won't quit on their own, ruth. listen to the advice above and get nasty.
ruttinbuc
"Hey, How was your hunting season?"....dead giveaway to who is calling. I play along after making sure. Then I tell them to hold 'just a minute' as I was finishing up a small task. If they say they will call back I tell them not to bother. If you can't wait a minute it is not that important. If they say OK I put them hold for as long as it takes. :1eye:
BearClaw
Same story here. I entered a contest to join him on a deer hunt. They would call and ask how my season went and if I got a deer. (Like they really care!) Went through their pitch and I told them no. They called back 2-3 days later and I said I told the guy two nights ago no and I'm saying no again. They haven't called in a awhile. Makes me not enter any so called 'contests' because they see you as a possible 'lead' in their sales dept. Shaun_300
I've heard bad things about that company, never have or will have anything to do with them.
okiebuck
Try 2-3 times, a day! Same thing here, I signed up for the hunt giveaway on their website last year around this time. Dumbest thing I have ever done. I have told them no, time and time again. But now I just hang up the phone every time they call. I'm usually at work and cannot tell them what I want. unioncountyslayer
You would think after 5 years of me not answering their phone calls they would get the point, but they are relentless. I haven't paid a dime since I originally signed up for a one year subscription but I still continue to receive the magazine. It's actually pretty funny. Keep calling, I ain't answering. jcot2773
I actually started a thread on it last year sometime. I told them I did not want their magazine, they also called no less than 3 times a day. One day I get a piece of mail in the paper saying they were sending me to collections for not paying my subscription. I called the home office and demanded to speak to Jackie Bushman (like that did any good lol) But when I got off the phone with the general manager I never received a call from them again. Flintlock1776
Caller ID on a cheap phone works wonders in avoiding all unnecessary calls
The_Kat
Working at a call center once I know they legally have nonstop calling you after 30 days of a request for "do not call". After you give them a DNC request and they continue to call after 30 days you can take legal action.
Tecumseh
I called Jackie Bushman a poacher and haven't heard a word from them in 10 years or so.
