gzilla45
This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. I'm sure people will buy these just to say they went to the game but "C'Mon Man." http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/NFL-to-charge-people-200-to-stand-outside-Super?urn=nfl-309783
Tominator
I don't think I'd ever go to a superbowl even if it was completely paid for. It's become quite the social event at my house, all day party. :gunsmilie: :eat: :camera:

Unless it was completely paid for and my team was in it, which ironically they will be once again this year. :tt1::gunsmilie::pop:
HuntingPA
I have no interest in going to the Superbowl in person til the play the game outside and up north...like Pittsburgh, etc...would rather be grilling on the back deck of the house in 15 degree weather on game day , than tailgating at the game in 70 degrees where they are still playing golf. That is why the playoffs are so much better than the Superbowl itself when you follow a northern team. One week you are watching them battle on a forzen field with the linemans breath fogging up the line of scimmage, two weeks later they are getting tans during the game...so Janet Jackson can undress during halftime... It is just like Pro-sports to take the game away from the true fans that support it for 16 games all Fall long for their Big dog and pony show at the end.... GO STEELERS!!! ruttinbuc
Besides additional revenue, the biggest upside for the Cowboys is that those buying tickets to the party plaza will count toward the game's official attendance. Jerry Jones has expressed a desire to break the Super Bowl record for biggest crowd, which was set in 1980 when 103,985 attended the game at the Rose Bowl. ] At $200 a pop! Are you kidding me? So Jerry Jones can set a record?

Tominator
I didn't interpret this as an invite..... Ummmm, honestly don't think you want to go there. I think you're up to about 10 turndowns of "We'd like to have you guys over for dinner....see the new house.....watch the fireworks......throw some backstrap on the grill.....watch the game.....etc. etc." Watch this fellers: Hey Tom, why don't you come over around 1ish with the family, we can go hunt Dan's then watch the game afterwards....we can grill something.....let Kim and the kids see the new house.....I'll get you some Killian's....how about it? You'd think a person would get the hint after 4-6 turn-downed invites that we don't want to come over..... :D
texastrophies
Brilliant, simply brilliant. A perfect opportunity to take in all of the game day festiviites for the average fan. Odds are it is going to be a pretty day weather wise, so why not. How many here have ever been to a Super Bowl? Very few, if any I am sure. If my team was playing and I was a rabid fan, you darn right I would go. For most people it will be a once in a lifetime opportunity at a reasonable price for a super bowl. Just remember, everything is bigger in Texas!!!!:wine::drink:

fly
You Ohio guys are crazy! Keep it up though, it's fun to watch. I'd pay the 800 for 4 seats to watch the superbowl (200 per seat). I'd only do it once though. It just depends on what you're into. Some people pay more than 800.00/day to hunt.
