Tominator
Unbelievable. Now I don't feel so bad about losing that doe last year. Only thing I can figure is that it clotted that wound up quick!
magnatecsteve
That's amazing and incredibly lucky! Glad they recovered it, would have been a looong tracking job otherwise!
RackBlaster
Would not want to be using Tbone's arrow heads.

BowtechTurkeyHunter
Would not want to be using Tbone's arrow heads. Waddell used the exact same head its the G5 T3 .... Steve PS I wouldnt use them either they actually look cheap ....

JJL
Can you say improper deployment of a mechanical head. Look at the exit wound from Travis' shot. It looks like a field point, whereas Micheal's has an X................. T3 failure. I've got 9 of them here at the house if anyone's interested. They looked pretty sketchy to me so I stuck with the Muzzys.

wtnhunt
Looked like perfect placement from T bones shot. Even with the broadhead not opening, which is pretty obvious it failed, still would think a bullet hole through the lungs would have had the deer expiring well before 2000 yards, that is over a mile. Crazy a deer could make it that far, and looked in the video like it was not ready to fall over any time soon either. Yep, with Jim here gonna stick with the muzzy fixed heads. Tominator
I'd have to look at the video again, but I could have sworn T-bone's blades deployed.
VermontHunter
I'd have to look at the video again, but I could have sworn T-bone's blades deployed. Just go's to show weird stuff happens ... By the size of this exit wound, I'd have to agree with Chris. I could be wrong tho, but it's an awful big wound. VermontHunter
I don't know if the blades deployed or not, but that deer should have dead right then and there, just by the shot placement ... JMO Weird things happen, who can explain this type of stuff ... Here the entrance wound .. Here the exit wound ...
RangerClay
How many times do we read stories every fall about a lost deer and the story teller claims he put on a good shot. T-Bone put a perfect shot on that deer. It doesn't look that low to me. Weeeeird!
Adjam5
I saw the show last night and that left me befuddled also. That deer was hit exactly in what my son and I call no mans land. I believe you can kill a deer with a field tip in the lung(s) with proper placement. Not necessarily get a pass through, but all you need to do is deflate a lung or break that diaphragm to stop that deer. The efficiency is not there. That is why we use broadheads. For clean efficient kills. It does however cast some doubt on the efficiency of that particular expandible. For the distance the deer traveled, with a fixed blade I believe it would have bled out. ruttinbuc
Just goes to show that anything is possible. That head failed big time! I don't know how else you could explain that. I wonder if they even test these things anymore.

Straight Shooter
Totally bad advertisement for G5 right there and I hate to say that. Always a potiential for failure with expandible's, that is why I used fixed blades. JMHO That is unbelievible as well, perfect shot placement and the booger is still running other bucks off because of his dominance. Dead and he didn't know it. T-Bone put a perfect shot on that deer. It doesn't look that low to me. Weeeeird! Shot looked perfect to me as well. Helped someone track/look for a deer last fall with what appeared to 3 of us to be good blood indicative of a lung hit, but the blood was not extremely heavy. Hunter was using an expandable. I am not the most experienced tracker, but the blood looked great to me, was pretty sure it was a good hit and he also said he thought it was good. A tracking dog was even called in and that deer was never found despite blood winding through a cornfield for quite a good ways. Totally bad advertisement for G5 right there and I hate to say that. Yep, no doubt that deer would have eventually died but got to wonder just how much longer the deer would have gone. Pretty amazing how far some deer make it.
